      * Highest loading: 12 passengers to Tampines St 86, 4 passengers to Tampines Concourse

      * Zero boarding and alighting observed from Tampines Ave 8 to Tampines Ave 10, mainly because that area is mostly under construction.

      * Zero boarding and alighting observed from Tampines Ave 8 to Tampines Ave 3, probably because that area already has many bus routes; no need for another bus route.

      * Zero boarding and alighting observed from Tampines Ave 7 to Tampines Concourse, mainly because that area is relatively undeveloped.

      * To improve the loading, the authorities can consider increasing awareness of the route, and connecting the route to Tampines West station at Tampines Ave 4.

      * The upcoming developments around Tampines Ave 8 may increase the loading by 50 passengers, assuming every bus stop has 10 passengers boarding or alighting.

      * This route may be well-received in future.

      It is a brand new route. Give it some time. Do the same loading analysis in Jan 18. Surely will hit 50-60 pax in AM towards MRT and around 40-50 pax in PM towards st 86.

      298 route length justified to use DD if the loading is high but for now full SDs is adequate.

      • - Not quite a heavy loading bus stop during PM peak (possibly due to Friday)
      • - Few alightings at this time
      • - 46 sees decent demand, but not worthy enough for DDs; need to check AM Peak & other workdays
      • - 168 frequency & loading quite consistently high
      • - 66 & 228 occasionally receive higher loading, but mostly headed for Bedok Central. In contrast, loading at opposite bus stop is high (see below)
      • - 28 & 69 sees a few random peaks

      Further observations at Bedok North (60, 137), Tampines East (4, 18, 293 / 3, 8, 9, 12, 38) and Upper Changi (2, 5, 24) may also be insightful.

      That’s one off given 12-14 mins frequency..Opp direction still half empty during peak hours...All SD is more than enough for this service.Only the bus i boarded is filled up cause BC also drive too relaxed.

    • 1+ 1 person,- is alighting..If got 3 pax i put 1-/2+ meaning only 1 alighting...if 1-/4+ meaning another 2 pax boarding

    • Its quite difficult if got standees i have to admit,Until the BC thought I’m from LTA...

      Noticed that from your analysis, that around 17 pax from Bedok North Estate actually go further than Ubi because alighting is poor at Kaki Bukit estate. I am surprised that those from Bedok North actually take 137 to go to UBI when 137 is winding. Maybe they prefer that it is direct??

      I am not surprised. People working in Kaki Bukit estate for years have had no bus service. They rely on private bus services or other modes of travel. It is going to take them some time to change their pattern. It is the same for some Tuas services and svc 47 when it was launched. It will pick up in few months.

      Hi mr SG1131, yes residents use bus to connect to nearest mrt. 860 crowd all goes to 807 since 860 does not pass by khatib mrt anymore. This also shows mrt as main mode of transport. Buses will always be second to mrt. Cheers. Thanks.

      wow... the loading is even below my expectations... I thought at least around ave 9 the loading would pick up in AM... but maybe there was 72/72A/116 in front?? 101 usually gets 30-40 pax in AM towards Hougang from Buangkok Link...
