Seriously 161 got more long-distance paxes. Wonder why they deploy on 151?

It’s not always about long distance,They can also test how the bus endurance during climbing steep slopes, tight turns etc

I admit I did guess that Sv 53 could be under partial HG when I saw 6093T 6095M 6620Y 6622S together yesterday.. because it did make some sense (imo la) to go partial HG

Especially to clear the early-morning first couple of trips from CGA + the 53A shortworking trips (2 of them) during AM Peak. And also the 2x downroutes from Loyang Ave to Bishan from 6.30am onwards - HG seems closer to than AMDEP for travelling time?

but turns out they still remained full AMDEP 'cause the DDU still showed se-4xx on those ex-HG buses (not sw-4xx)

If they do give 161 only, then that defeats the whole purpose of testing crunch-loading in a start-stop situation.. 161 has full-load, but it's just getting them on expressway mainly for like you said, long-distance travelling. Doesn't really test the crunch-loading that I think SBST is trying to look at.

151 experiences a greater (ie. higher demand) start-stop crunch-loading situation during Peak + when it coincides with the class dismissal timings of NP & SIM students also..

So depends on what time / slot they decide to run it under from now on..

13km from AMDEP to pasir ris drive 1 first bus stop. 9km from HGDEP to there. 4km is around 4-5 mins more traveling time (since most of the route are expressway). So not really much different.

Why would such a test even be necessary? There's already 5835M on 76 to do the job for that.

Anyway objectively speaking, the lower deck seating layout on the A95 is much better for long haul routes. Not sure why SBST want to use such packed lower decks for short haul.

Actually ah I don’t really mind as long SBST take the MAN buses rather than stuck with B9TL for DD.The only problem is Go-Ahead and LTA.Since every operator have MAN,Why not ask GAS to use 15 units of A95 also?

    • Isn't SBS2792K supposed to be on SVC 132? I think I took SVC 132 with that license plate this morning.

Really a redundant move to put on 151.

SBST should also consider another 20 A95 intake to HGDEP and lay up the tridents early.

The rest of the A95 stick to SMRT replace the NWAB bendies.

so 10 SD and 8 DD for sv807/110/860 extension....  so if 110 going to use a few A24, then some DD will go to sv804/806/811/812?
