    • Whatever the case, we can expect the next wave of new / amended services to be related to DTL3 opening.

      - Possible new (137?) or amended (58?) services to Kaki Bukit Ave 2

      - Amendment of 20 (perhaps 12 as well) to serve Somapah Rd & Expo MRT

      - Other miscellaneous amendments

Saw at K.B ROAD 3 too.

Should be loop service around Kaki Bukit area as only one shelter constructed (at one side and not both sides of road).

besides that , the very first stretch of KB ave 2 from Eunos Link is always clusterfucked during peak hours. It may further screw up the frequency of bus 58 if it ever goes to ave 2.

    • Great news. I have proposed and hoped for a service there from the last 1 year.

Ideal route would be connecting CBP -> Tanah Merah -> Bedok North St 3 -> Bedok North MRT -> Kaki Bukit Industrial Estate -> UBI -> Macpherson -> Paya Lebar -> Geylang.

The route start from Sims Pl and loop around Kaki Bt Ind estates.

By the way,If service 48 terminate at CBP,Any idea on how a new CBP svc will cover the deleted 48 routes towards Bedok Depot and continued to loop somewhere?

Depends on the new route that 48 takes ... though it would be very redundant seeing that CBP already has 47 which partially duplicates 48.

Any new route passing by BNDEP should ideally serve Bedok Reservoir / Bedok North / Simei MRT station. Preferrably the first one.

973 has more demand now for petir road where 700 and 966 serves and the bt panjang rd sector which 184 700 serves, since 700 doesnt stop at the int. good move by lta to increase demand, saw 10 pax board 973 at bpbi few days ago at night

48 can terminate at CBP now that it operates with DDs. 17A should be removed and 47 should be introduced to supplement svc 17 but connect to DTL3.

Bedok Interchange >> Bedok North St 1 (exp) >> Bedok North Ave 2 >> Bedok North St 3 >> Bedok North Ave 1 >> Bedok North Road (BDN MRT) >> Bedok Reservoir Road >> Bedok North Ave 3 (BDR MRT) >> Bedok North Road >> Bedok North Ave 4 >> ... >> Tanah  Merah MRT (svc 48 route) >> Bedok South Ave 3 >> UEC Road >> Bayshore (loop)

      * Connects Bedok North St 3 Estate to Bedok North MRT

      * Connects Bedok Reservoir to Bedok North MRT

      * Connects Bedok North Industrial estate and housing estate along ave 4 to Bedok Reservoir MRT

      * Connects Bayshore to Tanah Merah MRT

Sounds good, but could it be too winding?

Way too winding in Bedok. Few will stay on board beyond five stops.

      My alternative suggestion:

      • - Extend 18 to Bedok North Ave 1, St 3 and Ave 2.
      • - Amend 228 to serve Bedok North Rd, Ave 4 and beyond (could be UEC or CBP). Renumber and reclassify as trunk service. If need be, the other side can also be extended to loop around Kaki Bukit. 66 serves as backup service to Bedok Int.
      • - Amend 168 to Bedok North Ave 2 to cover for 18's lost sectors. There's still 28 and 67 to Tampines, so not too troublesome.
This would be enough for most points-to-MRT links already.

True - but it is hub and spoke to connect to DTL3, and I wanted to connect Bedok North St 3 to DTL3.

Alternative is Eunos >> Sims Ave East >> Chai Chee Dr / St >> Bedok North Ave 1 >> Bedok North Road... and continues on my proposed route.

This change will connect Chai Chee to DTL3, but the connection for North St 3 is still missing.

    • New bus Stops at Kaki Bukit

24 September 2017 Tap In Tap Out  0 Comment

Several new bus stops have been spotted in the Kaki Bukit area, intended for an upcoming bus service likely plying between Sims Place and Upper East Coast. These bus stops and their future bus service(s) will bring about greater connectivity to the Kaki Bukit Industrial Estate which presently does not have bus connections north of Kaki Bukit Avenue 1.

The following six pairs of bus stops were spotted:

      Kaki Bukit Road 5

New bus stop pair under construction outside PUB Bedok Waterworks.

      Kaki Bukit Avenue 6

Kaki Bukit Avenue 6: New Bus Stops under construction

      Kaki Bukit Avenue 3

Two pairs of bus stops are under construction underneath the flyover. One pair outside Bartley Biz Centre, the other pair outside Techview.

      Kaki Bukit Road 3
