So happy? Bus fare suppose to be decrease by 5% based on the old formula. Right now it is maintain. So effectively it is a 5% increase.

Haha. Recently our gahmen said they want zero car growth. If they raise transport fare, ppl sure make noise. I hope the gahmen will maintain zero growth in transport fare, to keep the zero car growth vision.

According to the news, the gahmen is also scrapping the morning pre-peak hour free MRT trips, and is rolling out a 50 cents discount for all MRT/LRT commuters who tap in before 7:45am, regardless of destination. I feel that it's more fair, esp to those who work outside the CBD.

To be more fair to all commuters, maybe the gahmen should expand the 50 cent discount to buses as well.

Expand to buses? How much they are going to subsidy? So take feeder deduct 50cts then train another 50cts? They are trying to encourage ppl to avoid the super peak timing for trains whereby ppl have to wait few trains then can board . There isn't any need to give discount to bus pax.

864 called at Suntec in each direction. If the Great Swap of 1999 didn't happen i believe its fleet would have been dominated by artics.

Hi mr lemon1974, all these supposed to decrease by 5% are merely talk only. We only judge on final outcome. If it is maintained, it means no increase. Cheers. Thanks.

    • Service 16 to resume original route in Marine Parade area

      http://www.sbstransit.com.sg/press/2017-10-31-01.aspx

Wow. I thought svc 16 was just diverted in April this year? So fast resume original route? The TEL construction team is fast!

I remembered that Old Airport Road was closed for more than 2 years during the construction of CCL and Kaki Bukit Ave 1 was closed for more than 4 years during the construction of DTL!

    • The LTA will still add bus services, and love the new areas so much. Even so, they have to balance out the new and extended bus services.

Any removal or shortening of service will have to be assessed on case-by-case basis.

    • Bus Services 43, 43M and 118 will call at Punggol Stn/Int Bus Stop along Punggol Ctrl from 26 Nov onwards.

Does anyone know why 117 still will not call at that bus stop?

I have a bad feeling about introduction of new routes in future, especially given LTA's all these cost-cutting measures recently...

Not saying that we won't see new services anymore, but probably far less than BSEP era.

Actually its a good thing also,Why need to introduce redundant bus service just to fill the quota or MP request?Road is getting stressed to drive with so many PHV goondoo drivers,Jams is almost everywhere..So proper plannings is needed else waste so many taxpayer money for what? Its time to cut half service like 51,61 etc anyway.
