o level can't sign on as officer... only specs...

for 20 yrs if he stays as o level.... most prob MSG, unless u go for SOF, then got chance for 1WO max...

but SAF will send him for course right? his family not well to do so he has little choice but to sign on. i think he will be doing his diploma after the sergeant course or something.

btw what is SOF, how to go SOF

20 yrs from 18 = 38 yrs old... correct wat.... MSG or maybe 2WO.... now can retire at 50 yrs old for WO... so he can still get 1WO wat...

      nothing misleading....

SAF will send him for diploma for sure if he performs....

'O' Level holder can still possible to become officer if he has 6 'O' level credits and above, of course he has to be very outstanding in his performance...

20 yrs of service only MSG... please! SAF will not even offer him PP2 in the first place if his CEP (Current Estimated Potential) is so low, which mean he will not exceed 10 yrs service...

btw, to be able to make it as a warrant officer or not, it got nothing to do with his is a 'O' level holder or SOF... hahaha... this is funny... hahaha...

You sure he sign on in the Army? If as a Specialist, SAF will not offer 20 years contract up front. PP1 is only 10yrs, if he is good SAF will then offer him PP2 up to age 55. Unless he sign on as officer under the SAVER scheme then its possible.

    • Depends on his ECP... (Estimated dunno wat(i think is current) Potential) ECP is Staff-in-confi... Normally the superiors who went for ranking board will know....
If he is a obedience soldier, I think SSG / MSG shldn't be prob...
In SAF, most impt of all.... Pass IPPT, dun get Charged and know how to tripod at times sure very safe...

If he makes it to SOF or CRF before the end of his PP1, his CEP will definitely increase significantly.

sure or not? or could it be he sign on as man? Question

i would have thought SAF will be more selective considering there are many many deploma holders out there nowadays.
