    • 5 years ago, I've made a trial MRT line...but all deleted liao since the functions of the game are quite limit.

Another problem is the production of the routes and trains is so difficult, which you have to face a lot of numeric data. It takes you lots of time and energy to make them...

Sorry that I've deleted all of my work, or they may help you a lot~

    • JR West Fukuchiyama Line :D

I find it as one of the most challenging... Especially if you follow everything like how a real train driver in Japan does it, including signal recognition, sounding of horn and power adjustment :D

Been playing this game for two years plus and not bored by it. Started off with BVE 4 then went backwards to BVE 2 mainly because of the inaccuracy of some BVE 4 parts :S

And the part to master 0.0 accuracy is the most challenging and engaging factor... Not to remember hard braking angers passengers :D

    • If anyone wants, I can try to take pictures on NEL from Serangoon to Sengkang (if someone is creating a bve route).

      And Sengkang West LRT Line

It is not very easy, you need to know where the singals are, you need to create the tunnel structures, a basic computing knowledge among other things.

    • I'm new to this game. Can anyone guide me with the controls? It seems like I can't get the train to move (Is it suppose to?)

      Yep, it's supposed to move.

First go find route and train, once you are looking at the drivver's cabin, for one handle train. a to brake, z to advance.

two handle train, a and z for power, < and > for brake. try it yourself.

thats for bve2, bve4 i dunno since if i play it on my laptop, i can fry an egg there.

      @Scania

i thought the signal at the back of station and at front?

red and white light. i don't see any signal on track. only the blue wall light signifying the emergency cut-off thingy.

oh, and I said, pictures only. lols.

Thats the thing about NEL, automatic, nobody knows where the signals are (or whether there is any signal at all) besides the green light signalling whether a train can move off from a station or not. Though if you have lots of time, you can try building one with the BVE Routebuilder which I have no idea how to use it.

    • @ SBS1869ERyan :

I still can't get the train to move after trying out the keys you mentioned. This is what I see on my screen. What am I doing wrong?

    • Your brakes are engaged together with you power levels.

Choose control then control 2 that should be easier, limiting the keys to up key, down key and F, N and B for directions. Press down key for brake and up key for power. When there is 'Please stop the chime' press S. If you wanna go beyond speed limit and prevent the system from triggering while speeding, press page down key. To engage ATS, press Shift and F2 keys. To disengage, press Ctrl and F2 keys. To cycle time and frames count press Ctrl and F3 keys.

Most of the commands are here. Enjoy.

Yea erm the whole tunnel is dark... and I believe the signals are actually hidden from view or computerised.

Thanks TIB1224Y, Really appreciate your help. I'll try out the method you mentioned and see if it works. And one more question, where can I download more maps? It seems like I only have one route.

EDIT: I've solved the problem already.

    • There are quite alot of files... You can get train practically everywhere, but by changing the train folder directs in the csv file increases the fun of it, like putting express train on local and local on express (some difficulty to catch up with timings).

The train in the picture is Series 201 of JR West. Good acceleration (2-3 km/hr/sec) but bad top speed (about 110km/h).

    • For a challenge perhaps u shld try the Kiha 40 series on local services. That boasts terrible acceleration and a top speed of about 80 km/h. :D

For starters, i'd think doing the NEL in BVE 2.6 or 4 would be equally difficult. The 1st obstacle would prolly b getting decent footage of the line w/o incurring the wrath of the "transit security". If u can't find the signals the line could b coded to use ATO.

As for the train the actual engine is not that difficult to code.

    • If i were to take pictures for NEL route, what do I have to take?

Make sure no 'green man' can already.
