    • NP and SP business schools are very competitive. However if you're planning to go to uni afterward (especially overseas, cause higher chance), poly is a better choice than JC as poly culture is very similar to uni culture. Also good to choose poly for internship experience, however if you have the choice of a more general course e.g Business Studies vs a more specialised course e.g Accountancy, Banking & Financial Services, choose the more specialised course as you really learn more. Plus the internship opportunities are more relevant like you actually get posted to Big 4 accounting/global banks rather than getting thrown to a random start-up in usually a HR role.

    • Hi i am in a dillema. My l1r5 is 17 after minusing 2 is 15 and was sent to YJC. However i live in the macpherson aljunied area.

I tried appealing to cjc which is significantly nearer but failed to enter due to my l1r5 being on the dot of their schools cut off.

Travel time to yjc is more than 1hr whereas cjc is only 20mins away.

Is it possible if i were to transfer mid year or after 3 or 4 mths into YJC . I really value travel time over anything. Please advice I am emotionally stress over this.

There is no valid (ie. MOE approved) reason for CJC to accept you mid year or 3 or 4 mths into YJC, no matter how well you do in YJC tests, so don't count on it (you can always try, but be mentally prepared for a negative result).

In the worst worst worst case scenario, if you're really on the verge of an emotional breakdown over this (though that shouldn't be the case), you can drop out of JC and take A levels as a private candidate.

But take note : you got to contact the Admissions Offices of the local Unis (for courses you're interested in) to see how to calculate your Uni Admission Score without Project Work.

And if you're a guy, you gotta serve your NS by next year (ie. 18 years old) if you're not in a JC or Poly.
