KNEE SURGERY FOR LINDEGAARD
Manchester United goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard has been ruled out for five weeks due to a knee injury.
Lindegaard finalised a move to Old Trafford at the start of the January transfer window, joining from Aalesunds.
The Denmark international has made two FA Cup appearances for the Red Devils so far, but will now spend a stint on the sidelines.
The 26-year-old is due to undergo an operation on Thursday and it is likely to be towards the end of April when he is fit to return.
As a result of Lindegaard's injury, United have recalled Ben Amos from his loan spell at Oldham Athletic to provide cover for Edwin van der Sar and Tomasz Kuszczak.
Lindegaard is widely expected to be United's number two keeper next season, with Sir Alex Ferguson tipped to sign a replacement for the retiring Van der Sar in the summer.
