    • SINGAPORE - The Straits Times Run at the Hub is back and those wanting to make a date for the Sept 27 event can do so from Friday, June 26.

Runners can choose to take part in a 5km fun run, a 10km competitive run or sign up for the 18.45km celebratory route, designed to commemorate ST's 170th anniversary and mark the year the paper was founded in 1845. All runners will get to end their run under the National Stadium's iconic doomed roof.

Registration fees range from $48 to $68, with each participant receiving runners' entitlements worth close to $400, including a New Balance running vest and Chan Brothers travel vouchers.

In addition, those taking part in the 18.45km race will get a limited edition finishers' T-shirt.

There will also be an added bonus for all runners - each will stand a chance to win a brand new Land Rover Discovery Sport. Those interested can log on to www.straitstimesrun.com to register.

Consumer electronics giant Panasonic will be backing the run for the third consecutive year.

Said Panasonic Singapore director Daniel Tan: "Following Panasonic's philosophy and beliefs, we are devoted to create 'A Better Life, A Better World'. We aim to take the lead in bringing innovation, eco, and smart solutions that help to improve people's lives... Believing that a healthy lifestyle is essential to lead a better life, we are happy to be a part of ST Run."

Sports apparel maker New Balance and isotonic drink 100Plus are also back as event partners.

Said New Balance marketing and product manager, Asean, Eugene Yeo: "As a leader in performance running, it is only natural that New Balance works with the biggest newspaper in Singapore to bring the best experiences to runners."

Added F&N Foods general manager Jennifer See: "100Plus is excited to be the official isotonic drink of The Straits Times Run 2015. While our strong support towards serious athletes to outdo themselves is evident in our involvement in events like the SEA Games and The Straits Times Athlete of the Year Award, 100Plus is equally committed to encourage sports enthusiasts to outdo themselves through sports events targeted at families and people from all walks of life."
