I was thinking of having formal dinner for my bday in a buffet restaurant in some hotel, so like the guests will have to wear formal attire (dresses for girls and long-sleeved shirts and pants for guys probably), is that very weird? I'm inviting a lot of people (like 50+) so i don't know if we'll look out of place since most ppl go restaurant wear very casual stuff.
Anyway do I like just make reservations and come and hold the formal dinner on the day or do I need to tell the hotel we're coming in formal attire and stuff?
And does anyone have recommendations for nice buffet restaurants?
Wah, this kind of dinner so troublesome, I will put in extra effort just to come up with an excuse not to turn up.
Wear formal attire to have a buffet dinner in a hotel restaurant? Seriously? Even knowing if its 200 bucks per pax, I still won't turn up.
50 people for buffet dinner in a hotel restaurant for your birthday? Is this 五大寿 and you're a movie star or something??
Why would you want formal attire for buffet dinner?
It makes more sense for a sit down dinner
if it's 50+ pax, u can book a function room in the hotel and have the food catered in.
then u can design ur own theme and party
and hopefully the guests cooperates.
are u turning 16?
The problem is that you're putting pressure on the guests to wear formal... i dun like to wear formal because singapore so hot and humid, very uncomfortable... so some people don't turn up... some turn up despite feeling uncomfortable... unless your guests all those business bankers tend to wear formal all the time so they are used to it...
but so far even my rich friends all like to wear anyhow, being comfortable is their number 1 priority...
it's wrong, period, to invite 50 people to your birthday when you're not even 邵逸夫 ![]()
save your $$$$ and just buy some ps3 or ps2 games from ebay for $50.
