How much will it cost to study in Aus for 3 years?
I'm refering to undergrad degree inclusive of insurance,housing and everything. -
depends on what course and what university. which ones are you thinking about?

social sciences: a lot cheaper
the more expensive ones are science, medicine and law
NSW is okay. but make sure you SHOP AROUND!! -

All or most uni offer social sicence including prestigous ones.
And please i dun have plans to return to singapore because i know social science have little future in singapore but still that degree doesn't not make anyone a loser.
Now tell me.
What aspect of scoial science makes one a loser?

Depending on the course you take as the fee varies but usually it would sums up to around SIN25,000 to SIN50,000 per year (inclusive of air plane, visa, accommodation, school fees, living expenses)
I'm surprised many Singaporeans are taking their education to Australia.
Aren't NTU and NUS good enough? -
because come cant make it to the local so they are going oversea uni?

Very idiotic for one to think that ging overseas for studies equals to not having a palce in the local uni.

well not going to be cheap....1st, GST 10% over there..2nd, AS$1 = S$1.2...
i recogn tat 3yrs there will cost ard S$100K.. -
Can expect to pay around 15k per year on your tuiton fees alone.
Then comes living allowance, other expenses, etc.
I had a fried who ate 55cents pies everyday for two years. -
Thinking about it, he's a lil fuk
as he's saving up to modify his car, not his school fees

sometimes depends ah... i know of some MDs in reputable companies who have no idea that UNSW,Curtin and Murdoch Uni actually exists

No doubt most uni in europe have no tuition fee but if their living expenses exceed what i would have to pay for that in aus?

I think UNSW,Curtin and Murdoch Unis are not 'old school' type unis with tradition n stuff ranging nearly 400 years.
I myself never heard of UNSW till the closing down news -
It really depends. For eg u're an arts student in Paris, education's free, living expenses high, and u're probably gonna have alot of difficulty finding a job unless u're already fluent in French or a native speaker, plus the work must be related to what u're studying.. so basically u gotta have most or all of the money upfront..Originally posted by boka:So which would be better?

But if you're an arts student in Melbourne, Australia, school fees and living expenses are moderately high, but you can easily find a job if u're outgoing (20 hrs of work above the board anyway, most places let you work more, I easily earned over A$1.6k/mth doing part-time waitressing because the tips are high). So you can start off with just enough for the tuition fees, land a job and use that to cover living expenses ) -
it depends. if u take up loan, uonly need to worry abt the accomodation fees.
generally have 1 - 1 /1/2 years accomodation money ready..
then u can find prt time later to support...
also depends on where u go. Perth is pretty cheap...
le's say u earn 1600 doing par time..600 will go to rent..if u share wif buddy , then 300...
1300 for yr expenditutre..let's say 500 per month for food.. then left another 800...
thn en u can 600 use it to pay for yr education loan..+ the currency when change to SIng will be higher.. -
