I wonder how many of these cows have "mad cow" disease (Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy)? How many of these ended up on our tables in the form of canned meat products?
Businesses have no morals, they exist only to make $$$.

I think we should just cook beef until its well done. While it is sometimes fashionable to eat undercooked meet, the risks of diseases brought about by factory farming is quite high. Also microwaving might also help.
public awareness should also be raised for those who luv all thing raws......it's only how lucky you are ![]()

Microwaving a steak removes all the juices from the steak, the steak ends up tasteless.
Aiya, don't microwave until the meat become carbon la. Just maybe a few seconds and then pan fry until well done if you're cooking a steak. If making curry or what then I think not much problem because all those spices and the long cooking will probably kill a live cow too. Best of course, get good meat, not those American meat than no other country (except Japan) wants to import.

I only zap it for 25 seconds, the plate all filled with juices liao. Then the steak totally tasteless. I zap it because it was too raw after I cooked it.
Hmm, the microwave treatment was intended to quickly nuke the meat before cooking it until its well done on a pan but you kind of did it the other way around. By what you said if 25sec is all it takes to get all the juices out then I dunno how you can get a "safe" medium rare streak. Perhaps if you marinate in some spices first? Come to think of it I think the reason why we cook everything on fire and use all sorts of tangy spices is because our ancestors ate alot of bad meat.
Uh huh.

I always like my steak blue rare .... which I can only age and prepare myself at home .....
no resturants would ever give you blue rare after the mad cow thingy blew up ... that's why it's always "medium rare" at least
so if you're eating in a resturant, rest assured it'll be cooked well enough ....
