Erm.... why do you need a water purifier?
Tap water is already highly potable.
distill your own water with a solar still..

there's no need for water purifier in S'pore

singapore has insanely clean tap water.. just don't listen to the idiots out there trying to flog "purifiers" to you..
water that is too pure will remove the trace elements your body needs

Waste of money.
And such things remove chlorine. Believe me, regardless of what they say, you don't want to remove the chlorine in the water. Otherwise, if you leave the water to stand in a bottle, bacteria may well accumulate without the chlorine to kill it.
And if they say things like how the filter can 'shrink' the water molecules or 'break them down into smaller sizes', stay well away from such products. That's pseudoscience, pure and simple.
Bottom line? Our tap water already exceeds WHO standards for potability. So seriously, why do you need a water filter?
We got it through an agent leh.
..ben drinking tap water since nsf
...that is why i find those carrying water bottle...especially guys....sissy ![]()

As many posters have said, there is no need for a water purifier in Singapore. The water is safe to drink from the tap. (I know I am in the water industry!) Save your money for something else
If you have even the slightest problem, call PUB and they will come to investigate, they take the water quality thing very seriously.
Chlorine doesnt kill the bacteria, it mere accumulate the small single cell bacteria and make it into a lump so as it can be filtered easily. Got it from history channel engineering disaster...

chlorine kills bacteria
process of getting dirt in water to lump together is called flocculation and it involves adding metal hydroxides or hydroxychlorides

yalor, hyflux, which we bought and gain alot from their shares, dun even make it in Singapore, but they are doing very very well in China, India and some undevelope and developing countries, those countries really need to purify their water, so they bought hyflux products, in singapore, their sales is so poor, cos sing water is already good enough for drinking liao.
But if u really need, check it our and google yourself "Hyflux"
my family just installed one.
ok, maybe i'm barking up the wrong tree here, but wah lao eh. you know the filter actually turns dark yellow after a few months?
plus when they decided to clean out the water tank, for 1 day, the water which flowed out is putrid and dirty????
freaking gross man. that's when we installed the water filter.
