anybody got buy things from Salvation Army Thrift store?

  There's one somewhere near Bartley... maybe got other outlets also, not sure where though.

  They sell 2nd hand stuffs which people donate, eg. clothes, shoes, VCD/CDs, books, deco items, household items, kitchenware etc...

   

  u people bought anything before? what did u buy? was it good?

  Never seen them in my area or anywhere i walked past... so did not buy before

  Got....the uncle there everytime super nice to me, he usually give me some free stuffs whenever I shopped there.

  They sell practically everything....really everything you sensibly need.

  Depends on where you go. Bartley one very dusty like IRAQ. But the uncle super nice, they're old items anyway...what do you expect? Sparking clean?

  Can go there and buy some cheap clothes to recycle them into newer designs.

  Cheaper than what you're imaginating now.

  salvation army got take in books of any kind? coz i want to give away some if the books i have no use for already.

  Went there once to buy dumbbells, the uncle like no heart to serve me - he just answered no have, then went back to do his own things.

  I walked around myself, saw more human beings but they all behave as if they cannot see me. The whole place looks gloomy and dead, all the ''sale items'' piled up like rubbish dump.

  I wonder, will anyone buy there, it would be during 7th month.

  Then hor, I left.

  me different, me ever once donate item to them, that was 2 years back ago.

  the reason is i went to see trans and she asked me to donate lor

  but not buying 2nd things from them la......

  Yea my friend and I went to buy some clothes for a class performance there once. They really got loads of stuff there and they're priced cheaply. And it's charity too!
