Everyone says that Japan, Germany and Italy were at fault and they were the ones who caused world war 2 and demanded that they apologise.
But is it really entirely their fault? Didn't America and Britain at fault too?
The foreign countries like America and Britain went around colonising and bullying weaker countries. When Japan became strong and wanted to do the same too, America tried to stop Japan from doing so even to the extent of trying to restrict oil supply to Japan so that without oil Japan's industry will all just stop functioning.
This caused Japan to use military force to get what they want which lead to world war 2.
For Germany, they lost World War 1 and it wasn't entirely Germany's fault for causing World War 1. They were than punished heavily by the victors, taking away all their colonies and making them pay heavy compensation for war damages.
This caused Germany to want to take revenge which resulted in World War 2.
How about the western countries who bullied China in the past? Did they apologise for their crimes? No!
So when all these so called self righteous countries makes Germany, Japan and Italy apologise for World War 2 while they themself pretent to play the nice guy, aren't they being hypocrite?
why dig out something that people want to forget? its the past.. we learn from it .. and not repeat it.. and pushing the blame on whoever started the war dont help revive the millions died during the holocaust and as casualties of the war.

they won the war, that pretty much gives them the right to do anything they want.

In fact Japs lost the war because they overstrectched themself. If they had just concentrated on attacking China only and not do stupid things like attacking America too, they probably will be able to conquer the entire china and kill all the chinese

If Pearl harbor werent hit America would have still entered the pacific war, Japan wanted a head start.

not possible leh.....even if they can win fights with china, they cannot be able to conquer entire china. during WWII, even at their peak of power, japan only managed to capture a few cities in china (like less than 1% of the area of china) and we all know china has more than a thousand cities.
further more, say, if japan conquers china, their fate will be like the american soldiers in Iraq and Afganhistan, with no end to the war in sight, as the bilions of chinese will rise up non-stop and the fighting can drag on till eternity.
even russia has never been conquered by germany, only defeated in some cities.

No. America did not want to enter the war. They were busy selling weapons to all the countries involved in the war and they were making so much money.

Compare with them not getting onvolved and just sell weapons to these countries.

During World War 2, China did not have billions of people like now. even today China only got 1 billion plus people.
During World War 2 I think they roughly have 500 million people.
Because Japan fought too many wars at the same time so they can't concentrate their forces when fighting with China so they only managed to conquer a few cities.
If they had just attack China and concentrate their forces, they might be able to conquer the entire china

If i am american, i choose to create war, stir around to create conflict, so that countries will start buy weapons from me, even just to upgrade their defences capabilities.

they might have conquer SG but still got so many resistance forces rising up and giving them hell. Replace SG with China in the picture and you get the idea.
a country is truly conquered only when there's stability and peace throughout and after the invader's government has full control of that newly conquered country.
case in example, USA is an example of a conquered country.

To conquer the entire China and govern them? If thats the case when Japan conquered cities of china, they should govern the people with kindness to win them over. But they did not do so. What they did was to rape the girls and kill the guys.
Maybe Japan's motive was not to conquer the entire china but just to conquer a few cities, snatch the money, weapons and anything else that is so benefits to them, rape the girls and kill the guys t enjoy themself.

if i remember correctly, japan conquer china is because they always have bad blood with china way before even 19 century. these 2 countries always at loggerheads with one another and WW II is the breaking point for both.
however, during WW II, japan's main reason to invade china is due to greed.
they want china's natural resources (which is a LOT, btw).
as if that's not enough, japan also want natural resources of the SE Asian countries.

I wonder, sometimes whether we would be envious of the Nazi's Way of Life if the Germans had won WW2.
Would we be reading about the Jewish atrocities, how badly London and France were ran before the Germans came to liberate them?
Would we in Singapore dreamed of visiting or to study in Berlin ? Would mixing Deutsch with our everyday language be considered fashionable, cool and hip?
Would we still be complaining about our government and on how much better Berlin was being governed?
Would Hitler be hailed as a visionary leader, the shining example that LKY should follow?
Not to say that the Nazis were naturally better but i wonder how much of our impression of the Allies and the Nazis were shaped by who was the winner?
How can Germany win the war?
