    • My condolences....

Your computer is worth much more than a mere 40 dollars.

A computer has many components, and if the fault is a hardware fault, the rest of the working components are worth more than just $40.

If you like to spend some time to do troubleshooting, post your problem at IT Support subforum here.

If you want to sell it, I recommend that u use Hardwarezone and Ebay Singapore rather than selling it to the 40$ man. At the very least u can get several hundreds.

      OK.

    • This topic can go until so many pages..?

I dislike American polity and its body politics, but what this "expert" was saying was simply meant as a half joke or an entertainment. Dont forget his specialty is information warfare.

I admit it is a little bit entertaining and funny.

    • I actually thought "Li" is better than "Lee"

Because "Lee" seems too English or too Anglo writing.

    • I dont think Israel really have the intention of "Stopping rocket attacks".

That "stopping rocket attacks" is just a slogan, soundbyte, theme.

Usually for these kinds of political game or a warfare, the surface reason is always not the real reason.

I think the real reason is to weaken the whole cause of the Palestinian nation building.

Israel destroyed police stations, police training centers, killed UN workers (as usual), destroyed homes, apartments, roads, and everything that has to do with Hamas, all Hamas offices etc.

This reminds me back when they launched a war into Lebanon, and gave the reason as to "save 2 Israeli soldiers being held by Hezbollah".

Nobody would launch a big invasion just to save 2 lowly soldiers, and furthermore it was not a special-ops operation to find the 2 soldiers, but a real land war by mainstream troops.

Now, I think the situation is the same. They are saying they want to "stop rocket attacks" but I think these are just the theme being given out as talking points to their ambassadors and spokesmen to say. That is not the real reason.

It seems to me, from their continued settlement-building, playing Hamas vs Fatah, warring Lebanon and Palestine Gaza, they really have a goal of securing as long as possible their territory, and gaining upper hand and weaken the enemies and make any future negotiations or concession more beneficiary to them. They also wanted to weaken any Palestinian nation-building. That is why they choke off the economy, blockade the movement of goods and people (for years not just now), captured whole cabinets, and killed many leaders. They do not want to have a strong viable Palestinian nation-state, organized and solidified, contending the same land with them.

    • My condolences.....

I had an experience...although I am not sure what was the motive....

I was riding in a car with my relative, a distant uncle, somewhere in Australia, I cannot remember now, I think Sydney or nearby...it was a red light stop......suddenly a group of young males in a car next to us, threw their drinks and made obscene gestures and yelled...and then sped away when the light turned green and the cars started moving.

I was abit shocked but my uncle didnt seem to react. Maybe it was common or a kind of road culture there..? I mean just from this thread there are several others victims of this road rage. Such thing would never happen in Singapore.

    • I think he is very rude to say that if you are a prettier girl, he would treat you better. This is very rude, extremely rude. You should just break off from him.

Spend some time thinking and evaluating....and if you have come to a conclusion...take action, just break off.....trust me you can find other guys out there......and since you have experienced a very low quality guy, the next one is likely to be better....law of statistics....

      OK good luck.

    • I understand how you feel......although for my case, I have a little bit more allowance time....since I am a guy......

I think you need to consider your circumstances....if your career is settled....your emotions is settled.....and you are ready to start a family....then you should start targetting it....make it a goal....

The reason is...if you dont make it a goal....year by year...suddenly you discover you are getting older and older....and you may either panic...or lose even more inner will to get married.....

And if you are in your late 30s....things will be even more harder for you....you might only get divorcees or widows.......

Each year as time pass, your chances and your options is getting less.....

For now, you still have a lot of time, since you have not hit 30 yet.....you are still considered a "young lady" and there are many men in their 30s who are suitable for you.....

Just start thinking about it....whether you want to start a family, have a husband, have kids...and whether your circumstances is settled.......and if your conclusion is "yes".....then....my recommendation is to start looking...

Go out more...attend more social events.....it also helps to join dating agencies....Dont talk to random guys from random online sites.....join real dating sites...the ones that need subsription payment...real dating sites.....

By the way, this is how my own elder sister got married......

After she dated 2 guys but broke off.....

Then she started joining dating agencies....both online and not online...

She has been married for the past 2 years or so....happily married...

The guy is very suitable for her, very compatible personality, good and settled career, mature man, responsible, love his nephews and nieces, a good family man....

But one thing I can see and understand is that, if she had not looked and joined dating agencies, she would have never met this person. And I personally can see that this man is better in many ways than the previous 2 guys that she broke off with.....

My suggestion for you...if you want to start looking....is to join dating agencies....why...because you have many choices...and those people are all serious people who are ready to start a serious relationship with an end goal of getting married.....you can also meet guys who you would normally not meet from your own usual social circle....

Dont worry about being uncomfortable or not used to meeting strangers....or not used to going out for social events....etc.....just do it...one time, two times, third time you are used to it.....you might even enjoy it....better than staying at home, it's so boring....it will be interesting for you.....

      OK good luck...

    • Christmas celebration has become year-end celebration, basically.

That is why non-Christans, like you said, celebrate, decorate, etc, malls play Christmas music, the sales people wear red santa hats, and so on.....

There are some Christians who celebrate the religious aspect, but for the non-Christians, this is just basically a year-end festivities.

    • Yes some pretty girls are the cool types.

It is also possible she doesnt consider the men there to be her level.

Another reason is that she might already have a fiance, or she doesnt like to mix work with personal friendships.

    • My condolences.....Be patient and be brutal....good luck...

Anyways, it is easy to track who done it....just ask the bank to trace the recipient account...

You might want to report it to the police as well.
