Let's do a post by post translation~
#2: he doesn't like the design of the rear lights
#3: irrelavant, not translated
#4: great stuff :D
#5:irrelavant, not translated
#6:irrelavant, not translated
#7:irrelavant, not translated
#8: irrelavant, not translated
#9: (in a suprised tone) singapore's buying yutong buses?!
#10: the bus looks really good! i want to drive it :p
#11: i think the possibility of it going to HK or Macau is bigger
#12: referring to #11, not possible, the livery is already on.
#13: referring to #11, smrt is (one of) singapore's transportation companies
#14: anyhow, it isn't going to be used in (mainland) china
#15: from the body of the bus, we can tell that this is made for SMRT in Singapore and that they have ordered it. they should be ordering another 860 more of them. They have plans to revamp their entire bus fleet to run at least euro 4 emission standard buses. Last year, they have recruited chinese drivers from china as bus captains with a monthly salary of 8000 RMB (impossible for it to be SGD, 8000 RMB = 1760+ SGD).
#16: any other photos?
#17 irrelavant, not translated
Chances are post number 15 is false. lol - save for the salary part.

I thought we all use right hand drive while driving on the left here...why are we all saying LHD? o.o
But honestly and non-offensively, your translations don't really reflect the actual intentions of the authors...like the first one, I easily misread it as the guy saying that the design does not look like yutong's usual rear light design [and hence this is photoshopped]...didn't go on reading the rest of the translations since i read the chinese on the forum fine :o.

Critising and cursing at the head of SMRT is the right way to go. If that's the message mods are trying to pass down here, congrats, we've just downgraded ourselves to a newer low.
For that matter, I did not but someone else did...unfortunately the posts were all removed :(.

Wonder why they covered the rear SMRT logo with pink paper but not the side SMRT logo...The Yutong buses should be WAB buses

just end up as the same fate as the OC.Haven't peel...

ZYX:
Post overtakenZYX: it is good that SMRTbusees have bought this bus.
For those who have never ever taken a China made bus before, this is your chance.
China made buses are typcially fitted with Cummins engine with ZF. So essentially they will offer a European style engine noises.
The Yu Tong is a wise choice by SMRTbuses. I have taken an Yu Tong coach in hong Kong before and i thorughly enjoyed the comfortable ride.I just wondering if the bus is 12 litre?!
FYI: there is a King Loong Citybus WAB running in Sentosa.Edited by ZYX2005 29 Jan `09, 11:24AM

No
more Cut EDS already. Support!
BTW: Noticed something else. Buses in China are RHD. The one in the picture is LHD. Unlikely to be photoshopped.Weee, I'm quite confident it's true now. China wouldn't make LHD buses unless they are for export.

But I wonder what EDS SMRT would use. The Rear EDS slot looks exactly like the ones of public buses in China!Chances are they will use what they currently have (if its true - can't find any press releases on yu tong's website), then the rest just filled black. It's just a big hole there

Saw Phaik Hwa, stop pouring our hard-earned money into your useless loss-making investments and your hair recolouring sessions, and then scrimping like this on commuter comfort. Get the fark out of SMRT. You are ruining what used to be a good name. You have drove Trans Island into hell. You are a disgrace to the public transit industry of Singapore. You desevre to be stoned, kicked, and run over by a bus from your very own company you run. I shall curse you with ill health and cursed luck till the end of days, I shall curse and hex your entire family for all future generations, and I will curse your company with losses and that you will never ever be able to get a fare hike approval from the authorities till you leave it.
quote for the sake of quoting this stupid kid.

Due to irrelvent content - i shall take over this post to save space
ZYX: Very good. China buses are known for their unqiue engine sounds. This one shd be expected to be a Cummins engine. EURO IV the very least. it will sound very European and shd surpuise some of the bus fans here. Bus is a WAB model. the digits 12 in the model seem to indicate it is a 12 litre bus.... may be. not sure.
The windows are very big. Very germany European i like. But that is expected of a Yu Tong bus.
I have personally sat in a Yu Tong coach in Hong Kong and found the ride to be comfy. tiny rattling but comfy.
SMRTbuses may have ordered bulk, hope to see more of these guys.
For those who want to sit China WAB,. there is already one in Sentosa, a King LoongZYX
