I'm wondering...
If you see a bus with the EDS/Desto Plate wrong (like wrong direction), will you be KPO tell the bus captain/service leader about it? What happened then? Was he extremely thankful that you told him about it, or did he scold you up down left right center for being an idiot since most locals do not look at the desto plate/destination at all but the number only?

By the way guys, don't need to worry abuot not having enough regos.
Between 8000 - 8999, there are 999 regos available. Minus all the 4s not used, there are 899 regos left. But since some of the 4s are used for the first batch, there are more than 900 :p. So our dear SBST can go on being superstitous
~Just in case anyone hasn't posted this...I haven't been monitoring.

I was lucky I suppose.
Anyway, the queue is always very long for a 2 minute process because those auntie and uncles refuse to read the brochures and want to stand there for 10 minutes asking questions....damn annoying. It's like as if they have to make their time spent queueing worth at the expense of others. Then this vicious cycle repeats, that's why we have 1 hour-2 hour waiting times.

I'm with you on ridiculous drivers like that :\.
I ever waited 20 minutes for 851 before (i dunno why the freq is that bad for that day, it usually isn't), then two of them arrived. The one at the front was extremely packed.
I saw the one behind, it was a distance away, so people were rushing to the one in front while I decided to wait for the one behind. When the bus behind arrived at the bus stop, it was NOT in the bus bay at all, it was outside the bus bay parking behind, so I waited for it to come into the bus bay. Then when the bus in front drove off, the one behind filtered into the second lane immediately
~ ignoring me and a few
other pax waiting for the one behind. Then I knocked onto the door when it was at the junction (bus stop is right in front of traffic lights), the driver gave me a very "wtf, u get out of the way and wait for another one" look despite it being at the junction, parallel to the bus stop waiting for the traffic light to turn green

Firstly, I think we've got to agree, and tackle the root cause of this argument - that is n4l snapped a photo using flash at night. I do agree that using flash at night, irregardless whether the bus is stationary or not, inflicts a degree of disturbance to the bus driver, though the extent of disturbance is subjective. So, n4l, please refrain from using your flash in the future. :) It might be so that you own a camera that is not the most ideal for taking night shots, but it's alright! Even if you don't use flash, and your photos turn out to be awful, its okay, you can learn from that experience and slowly improve. I don't judge the photographer by the quality of photos per se, but I judge the photographer by the genuine willingness to learn and improve. Having said that, I'd also like to appeal to the others to be more tolerating of mediocre photos, taken by budding photographers, as everyone, even the most professional photographers start from zilch. So, n4l, I hope this experience will not deter you from taking night shots and posting your pictures up. I'm sure a handful (though not all, sadly) of us will appreciate your effort, regardless how abysmal your photo can be. Just don't use your flash at night! All the best! :)
I've never taken photos of buses and don't really intend to. I just so happened to be playing around with my camera that day and threw this photo up.
And yes, I got the point about using flashes...

From a photo being called useless and "you need flash shows that you're 100% noob" to how "advice" isn't listened to to stating that you're justwanting to say why people can't understand no flash is allowed
~I certainly love how statements can change within 1 day to make yourself seem innocent...
Of course, "You need flash shows that you're 100% noob" tells me that using a camera flash is irritating to you
~
Makes ALOT of sense yah.

Neither
because non-bus fans
are also doing the same...take bus for 1 stop because lazy to walk.
It's called making use of what you've purchased or are given to the
fullest. It'd be against moral values if say you got your concession illegally - but you purchased it through legal and rightful means and the concession does state that you have unlimited bus rides...but if you had unlimited train rides then something would be wrong ;).

I wasn't angry in the first place (:
To shut his boastful trap up, you just had to do that, because PMs don't work. There are different ways to dealing with different people. Mind you, this isn't the first time he posted in such a boastful and egoistic tone with regards to Photography of Buses and pissed people off. I believe some people were pissed by his boastful tone and some have told me via PM so, just that they didn't react to stir this up, which isn't helping imo, because the problem isn't solved but ignored. It's just the first time I've reacted to his ridiculous posts.
An eye for an eye - he insults me, I take the liberty and insult him.
Let's see, if one was wrong, he wouldn't have anyone standing with him on his side, as simple as that. Not saying that I am right after all.
