    • By going outside to play Pokemon Go, you get sunlight, and also exercise. Studies have also shown that sunlight and exercise can affect your mood.

I'm also a heavy gamer. But if I spend the whole day in the house playing games, I would feel a bit moodier as compared to if I went out and exercise. Speaking from personal experience.

    • Since I was born in 2000. But my parents had Internet connection way before that, probably in the 90s.

    • With a married man, the girls are going for just a short fling/1 nite stand.

If single, maybe the girls tend to look at the man in a serious-relationship kind of way? Just my hantam guess.

    • Chill. You are just Sec4/5. They won't kill off students like that one. You said you're not sure about this "discover the winner in you" programme. I advise you to read up more about it, cause you need to know what you're heading into. Imagine them interviewing you and they ask you what this programme is. Paiseh if you don't know.

Tbh I don't know what questions they will ask. Definitely not like the one you've mentioned, because it's too general. But I think it's best if you answer them truthfully, and if you can, with a personal touch.

If your POA get A1/A2, I wouldn't worry so much. If you really want to do accountancy in future, try reading up the business section in newspapers and see if you like it anot.

    • I think SG crowded is normal lah. We don't have much land, and there's the White Paper policy back in 2013. Which means it's gonna get even worse.

In my opinion, what you can do is maybe talk more to people? There's so many of us out there, whether S'porean, PR or foreigner. All of us have a unique history, background and lifestyle. Then you'll realise crowdedness isn't that bad as it sounds like anymore. Try to be grateful for living in Singapore. There's still so many people out in the world who are not that fortunate. :)

    • Many ppl here say sleep or eat, which I think is a very unproductive way lah. Go learn something new, or a new skill, or play a music instrument. You can learn a new language, like Malay, Japanese, etc. Or you can take up cooking, coding, learn to play guitar, piano etc. Find a friend/family member to do these together. Will make the process more motivating and enjoyable.

Also, get as much exercise as you can. Your body will thank you for it and your mood will definitely improve.

U play music instrument will give u more satisfaction than listening to other music. U eat food that u ownself cook also more satisfying than buying outside food. Why? Because it's the culmination of your effort to improve yourself. U also will feel more motivated to continue whatever you're doing.

Life is not just eat, work, sleep lah. Make more new friends/bros. Spend time with family. Help other people in need. Try new hobbies or interests. Talk to old uncle/auntie working at coffee shop, jio them a drink. U will find many more other people are in a worser condition than you, yet they are still going.

    • Just divorce lah. Why do you want to waste time on a marriage you are unhappy with? Marriage is not just anyhow one leh. Next time before you marry, better make sure she is the right one. I assume you don't have children yet, which is a relief, since things might get very messy concerning the custody of the children when it goes to court.

Pls choose your partner carefully next time. Don't marry a girl just because she chio.

    • Maths just have to practise. Keep doing TYS and other schools' paper, but remember to learn from your mistakes. It would be good if you have a copy of the answer key.

I took O levels last year, so I got the new E-Maths syllabus. I think N level syllabus also affected. The new syllabus got some questions need to describe about what's misleading about the bar graph or something, so pay attention to those types of question also. Brush up on your definition of numbers also e.g what are real/rational/irrational numbers, integers etc. All of them should be in your textbook, if not can find online.

Try not to find a tutor. E-Maths is relatively straightforward, don't need waste money on external expenses. Besides, by finding out the mistakes by yourself, you will start to hone your independent learning skills, which I believe will serve you very well after your N levels.

We should be speechless about your attitude and behaviour, not you. You had the audacity to outright insult his use of English without answering his question, and later giving a "somewhat" useful personal recount.

KNN... you damn thick-skin and elitist... hopefully you're not Singaporean/PR, because you don't deserve to belong in SG community.

You may want to consider transferring to a neighbourhood school instead.

A 188 school... or better still, Normal Academic... it's better for you.

Dude WTF?? He's just 13 years old... how can you say such things to him??

This one is a true example of cyber bullying

    • I think merging will benefit the future students. Merged schools will have a wider range of subjects to choose from, and given the larger cohort size, students can make more friends with each other.

The variety of CCAs will also increase, giving them a much more enriching school experience :)

    • Dear UltimaOnline,

I am a J1 this year, and I've just started my first Chem tutorial on Atomic Structure. However I'm stuck on this question. Can you help me with it?

Give a brief explanation of the following observation in terms of ionisation energy.

Orange street-lamps contain sodium with a small amount of neon, and light is produced when gaseous atoms are ionised in an electric field. It is observed that when the street-lamps are turned on, a red glow characteristic of neon is first emitted and the orange glow of sodium predominates after a time.
