"post something at least"

  Hi, fellow forummer Dawnfirstlight is having problem posting on forum.  Requested that I help solve the issue by informing the mods.

  Keeps getting the error mesg "post something at least" whenever the following is attempted:  post topic, write reply, send PMs. Although there is obviously content typed in the input box, the error mesg shows up and the post or PM is not sent out.

  OS:  Windows Vista

  Browser:  IE 9

  Thanks for your help!

  The problem was noticed this morning, and several attempts to post throughout the day failed.

  I notice Dawnfirstlight forumer post are quality post and of certain length. It may be due to timeout errors which happen very frequently.

  Advice to him is: When he's going to publish the long post, ask him to copy all (Ctrl + A). if the page prompts that error again, he can paste all (Ctrl + V). This is how I go around the problems when I have a long post to reply in Homework Forum.

  Hmm.... but don't think timeout is the problem because attempts have been made all day.  Long post, short post, test post... tried them.

  Try to enable the compatibility view  and see if it helps or not.

  Technology improve at a very fast pace. Some website that were created long time ago couldn't keep up with the latest technology. So Internet Explorer got a feature called Compatibility mode. This enables website which still have not catch up with technology still viewable with the modern latest web browser.

  SgForums have been here for many years already, so... yep, it's kinda outdated.

   

  When the compatibility mode is disabled, you will see the box grey

  

   

  When the compatibility mode is enabled, you will see the box turned blue

  

   

  Try switching to compatibility mode to see if the problem has solved.

  Sgforums are getting more cranky as days go by.    It just cannot be accessed more frequent than ever.

  Thanks. I suggest mod. to put this thread as a sticky thread, just in case others may face the same problem.
