So our former supermodel and WoF word-flipper is going to become a parliamentarian? My eyes nearly popped when I saw her photo on the CNA webbie. IMO, the NMPs are "fake". I'd rather have a WP team from Aljunied GRC than Eunice & her colleagues. After all, there was this fresh grad in the lineup for ALJ, but the team was disqualified on some technicality.

If Arnold Schwarzenegger can be governor in the USA, why can't Eunice Olsen be an MP in the parliament? We should not be only looking for those technograts or economists. We said we don't want only the elites to run the government right?

What has marriage got to do with parliment? So now all MPs must be socially as well as politically correct? Does one need to be 100% pro-family based, juggle a prominent company position and take on national issues stereotype of the gahmen?
Hell no...I would hope for a broader mix of single, career-driven individuals together with family men and women lashing it out at parliment. That portrays a more realistic Singapore; perhaps maybe then can the problems of failed social lifestyles and the SDU be answered. -

Doesn't matter who the NMPs are....the whole parlimentary thing is like wayang kulit to me. I don't claim to understand it , neither shall I even try to understand it. One party solid government...what's even there to debate?
