I hope they understand that Proton now still relies a lot on their domestic market. And that domestic demand is there only because Proton is the only car model that is not subjected to import duties which is significant. And if Malaysia wants to enter into FTA with USA, one of the requirement from USA is to balance the playing field for car makers. So . . . . . . . . .

If VW serious player and take over - then Proton share price will shoot up.
Anyway, the plant isn't in Tanjung Malim, but nearby Behrang. These 2 places are 1 exit away on the North-South Expressway. -
