You are making sweeping statements of all men in Singapore. If you notice, those men who take wives from Kalimantan and Vietnam belong to the lower socio-economic group. Men who are more educated, would usually prefer to marry local girls. If given a choice, who would want to have a wife whom you can't communicate in the same language and share the same culture?
You said that you want the local men to show you that 'you are truly a man' but can you take it? This means that there is not going to be equality. This guy will most likely be a chauvinistic pig. You can't expect to get a SNAG if want an alpha male to take charge and have backbone.

Why? Because when women are kept relegated to their traditional roles of child bearing and looking after the home, the birth rate in the country is higher. Look at the developing countries, where women's rights have made less headway. Population explosion!!!
In developed countries like Singapore, since women are more demanding i.e. in career and families, and have higher expectations from their marraiges. This leads to low birth rate as women (and men to a lesser extent) put themselves before their children.
Low birth rate will eventually lead to Singapore's demise as we run out of workers to replace the retiring ones. More retirees means more strain on taxpayers (although its not so bad in SG with CPF) You can see this already happening in Germany and Japan.

Working women have contributed a lot to our economy. But as I said earlier, demographically, our birth rate will keep falling until Singapore is gone. That's why even LKY regrets this. We have a dilemma: either we let women work and contribute as equals in society or we keep that in a state of bondage which makes everyone unhappy and denies the economy valuble talent.
