Honestly, I didnt daydream or act stupid before writing this list. I just have to compare the women from our parent's generation to those sg women of today. And to tell you the truth, the reason I dare to write this list is because I do have a wife that does all the above, and unfortunately she is not a sg women. If you think that she is poor, stupid, uneducated, ugly and dream to be a housewife, than I must say that you are very wrong.
Personally, I have dated many sg women, from doctors to models, from lians and SPGs, and all I can say is that they are great companion to have fun but not as wife.

Friends that know how to cook end up having to eat their food and give tips to improve before they cook the dish for their hubby

U're really blessed with such a wonderful wife.
But I think it's not fair to compare women of our parents' generation with today women. Women of yesteryears were usually homemakers and so needless to say they would cook and maintain the house. But the present day women are mostly working and it would be too cruel to also expect them to cook and do all the housework. If the husbands and wives truely cherish each other, they would share their responsibilities.
Work pressure and high costs of living can easily put people off having children. It's a common phenomenon in all developed countries. -
This thread makes it sound like before a guy falls in love, they'll have to hand out an application form to the 'typical sg girl' and if she answers any of the questions wrongly, she'll not be 'shortlisted'.
It does seem alarming that this kind of thinking prevails. So what happened to good ol' love? So now, it has been reduced to a 'meet my needs' kind of transaction izzit? -

How you can generalize a whole society of women in such a way!!!!
1) cant cook - I disagree. I am twentysomething and cook everyother day!
2) dont like to have children - neither do the men I think...it takes 2 to clap, women didnt cause that problem on their own!!
3) cant be trusted - what??!!!! and men can!!!! you are really sad and have a major problem if you think half of our population cant be trusted
4) costly - we earn our own money now. you dont even have to pay dowries when you marry a sg woman nowadays!!
5) only interested is the 5Cs - yes, care!! cause!! concern!! community!! companianship!!
6) like to compare - what??!! compare what?? which man is the bigger jerk right?!!
7) dont support you when you are down in trouble? you poor thing... you want sayang sayang....you need a mother figure not a woman!! dont respect their man - respect is earned on a daily basis!! not dished out for free on a silver platter!

most couples work, it's no longer husband work, wife stay home. Living standard is quite high in S'pore. One trip to NTUC for weekly groceries can cost at least $50- 100. Tiring to have to do chores after a long day of work.
