Ever since perfect 10's 5 guys and a girl programme kicked off, more and more radio stations have joined in the open discussion of sex on national radio. Well the things they talk about is not exactly explicit but i feel that things are much more open than it was 5 years ago. i feel that it is for the better of society.. opens up our way of thinking.. we need to move on instead of remaining impractically conservative.... i need your views....
arghhh wat a disaster!!!!! typo on the title.. i'm so sorry...i meant "openly"
Why is it a disaster? Singapore is suffering from an aging population. We need more kids!
What's wrong about mentioning sex __at all__?? People do it all the time. Where else do we get babies?
It is so absurd to see people giving that face telling you to shut up whenever you start to even mention the word sex and its more vulgar four letter representation.
it's good to see the shift towards a more open-minded society...and the best way to "educate" is thru media (TV,radio,internet...)
however, there mus be a clear line drawn between discussing it as a healthy topic and ranting about it in a sexually explicit way...
there are some guidelines tt the radio stations have to follow...as in wat type of information can be broadcasted and wat mus be "censored" and wat mus be substituted by other "ambiguous" phrasings
any breach in the guidelines...the station can be fined or risk license being withdrawn by SBA
this applies to other broadcast media as well...
