Road hogger cost Singapore millions a year

  If we can get rid of all road hoggers on singapore road, I believe we will be able to increase singapore average road speed by up to 10km/h.
  
  Traffic jam is a form of inefficiency and it cost money. I believe our government should do something and I dont think it is always a good idea of always trying to widen the road, when most of the time the traffic are slow down by inconsiderate drivers who think that the 1st lane for cruising at own time own target.

  road hoggers tend to be safer than speed demons. Traffic jams can be avoided if people carpool or wake up earlier than the usual peak hours to get to work.
  
  Well , for people with porsche or high end speed demon type cars (like the race cars ) who wants to go fast....go to malaysia and race in the circuit. They have a nice circuit there....sometimes the sultan race there himself so u can compete with him but remember to be humble and let him win ....

  I disagree that road hoggers are safe driver. If they can road hog, that means they are not giving enough attention to the surronding, especially what is happening behind them. I believe if a driver does not intend to travel fast, he or she should just keep to the 2nd or 3rd lane, not road hog just for the sake of being safe. (That is selfish)
  
  In the first place, we are not even talking about speeding above the speed limit or 100 or 110km/h, we are talking about moving 10km/h faster than the usual crawling traffic during peak hour.
  
  When we have to wake up earlier than the usual to use the road, that is being inefficient and that is not call problem solving.

  Ya, the traffic police should book these inconsiderate people.
  If u want to go slow, keep to the left.
  Very frustrating & can cause accident as people try to overtake

  Agree with you on that. Road hogger causes unnecessary bumper to bumper traffic, which can cause chain collison.
  
  I believe this can be done easily. Just fix a camera on the overhead bridges along the expressway and record the movement of traffic. If they find a car that is holding back a chain of traffic after a stretch of about 2 km, he should be booked.
  
  In Singapore FINE is the only way to educate its people.

  But too bad recently TP just too busy with their bonus and all areas are speed camera to FINE you increased $$$ revenue.
