An ex-NMP's son was caught for taking drugs. So...his defence lawyer seeking court's leniency not to put his client to jail, instead fine his client heavily. The reasons being that his client is a professional and had contributed much to our society. (Oh! they are f** rich)
In his defence;said,
His client took drug was due to he was drunk and had taken the drugs unintentionally at the spur of that moment, which a friend of his had given to him , another words he was being pushed to consume by his friends.
In our history of criminal offences, especially abusing of drugs. No one has ever escaped from jail sentencing. This round with a reputated lawyer a MP whom is defending for this guy; will this guy be spared and not going to jail???
Guys, guess what our Chief Justice have to say?

Remember that this is Lee Kuan Yew land. No one is above the law. MPs and ministers are expected to be whiter than white. If the son of an ex MP and judicial commissioner commits a jailable offence, all the more he will be subjected to the full brunt of the law. He will not get away with his jail sentence - it is just the duration of the sentence that needs to be decided.

to possess drugs in her bag during a tip-off raid at a pub and she
was sentenced to jail for about 12 months. Anyone can remember exactly
