Driving in Singapore is so damn stressful!!!

Well here's the deal... I was driving at some part of the road between somewhere in orchard and Bukit Timah road... the speed limit was 50. I was driving at 70. I was already wary of myself getting caught 20kmph over the speed limit or something... then I realised that every single car is overtaking me!!! From the left and from the right. Those behind me would also change lane and overtake me! Then when I came to a part where the road was slightly more congested and lane changing became more difficult.. I was tailgated by a car behind me, with his high beam on. Damn it... it's not like I don't have any cars in front of me or what, or that I'm road hogging.
*sigh* Do traffic police get tickets too if they're speeding when off duty? -
Good grief, theres still the taxis, trains and buses for you to consider.

Its not just driving... walking, taking buses, riding MRTs, buying food, shopping, blah blah blah ... everything is so high strung, so stressed, so agitated. So many times I was almost run down by truck, cars and bikes when using pavement, crossings (under green man conditions) and these people don't feel apologetic at all but they will give you a face that you are road scum and deserve to be run down. But then our officials ride big chauffered cars, go golfing in som far away land, sell albums and such, live in luxury and command and control the common people in their ivory towers. So how do they know how it feels to have their lives put at risk by the risky reckless road users.
Isn't it a big irony when the media play adverts about being depressed and all that when its the kind of policies that drove that kind of lifestyle which crteated the problem in the first place. I think maybe IMH should expand their premises or go build the next one near the Lee/Goh housing.
Its always convenient to be rude and easy to be uncivic minded at the expense of someone else. I think local people like to put up pretense to the world we are "helpful and kind" but sometimes I think people do "good deeds" with the wrong motive. When it comes to simple common courtesy and being kind to their fellow people, I think Hell will freeze over first. -
Yup.. But then we can rest being comforted that life in where we live in is already not as strangling as places like New York... man... it must be hell over there... LOL

everyone overtake u means u too tortise liao... juz maitain the same speed with them la.. if got ticket all get together.. from far u see conjested road liao then early filter to the lane u wan... wait till last minute u will be hogging on one lane and going into another one.

Blast your radio, sing to the top of your lungs ... that may help you. Oh.. don't forget to wind up the windows while you do that.

I myself drive within the speed limit (you might call me dumb), but I strongly believe that the limit is there for a purpose. The characteristics of the road would surely have been taken into consideration before a limit is set.
Lim Chu Kang Road is set to 60 kmph even though it is a straight road. I keep to it. How much time can speeding save you? 10 minutes? No thanks, I would rather save the fuel. -
shrugs. in australia the speed limit 100 hahaha.
but its v dangerous, cuz when u are travelling that kind of speed, plus its so windy. the car swerve v easily... if u not careful can crash. but the roads are straight all the way, like travel from boonlay to changi airport, one straight road like that, so its v fun
