  Hi I am a singaporean here I want to go to Australia/Canada to study a university degree there but I am poor so.......
  
  Any singaporeans who have sucessfully complete their courses there share their stories abt being able to keep their expenses to the minimum?? like how to find a job there/what job are suitable for students in Australia or Canada/will Australians or Canadians be biased against you e.t.c.
  
  Also pls include things like food and accomodation

  i study in australia
  
  accomodation is around $70 dollars a week for a pretty cheap house with around 3 house mates. Bills not included they are divided by 4.
  
  uni fees are around $8000 per semester depending on course.
  
  food costs on average $8.00 every time you eat out.
  
  books are from $50 dollars to $100.
  
  Also if u want to work u need a working visa however you probably couldnt be bothered applying cause most jobs require to be PR or citizen. If u go to most chinese businesses they will hire u casually without actually registering u as a worker and will pay u under the table. Depending on job i wouldnt work for less than $12.00 per hour. (around that much u expecting)
  
  Study hard when u there and u may become a partime tutor earning $25.00 an hour.
  
  from what i think maybe u looking to spend around $25,000 to $30,000 per year so for a 3 year course its around $90,000.
  
  ALL MONEY ARE IN AUSSIE DOLLARS
  
  hope this helps gd luck. Also for a second hand car a real sheit one is around $2,000 dollars and the going rate for fuel is around 95 cents per liter so quite expensive.

  I can give you a summary of what's like to stay in Victoria , Australia.
  You need at least 18K -20K for your rent , food, bills , books on top of your tuition fees. That is a bare minimum estimate.
  
  Depending on your student visa to survive playing a russian roulette. You can work at most 20 hrs/week during a school semester. Most chinese restuarants will employ waiters/waitresses but they pay bare minimum and sometimes illegally low ( 4-6 dollars per week).
  
  If you are a nurse, the hospitals will employ you on a casual basis because they need nurses. Otherwise tough luck getting jobs.
  
  You can opt to study distance in Singapore and complete your final year in australia.
