Background.
Recently,i had just change of my home address. As such,i fill up the form provided by the Bank and chose the option"update all my account with the Bank'.
To my surprise,I received letters from OCBC bank address to 3 different address.
(A) dept sent to my previous address.
(B) dept sent to the current address which is correct.
(C) dept sent to my current neighbour address,(the different is my address is with a (J),whereby my current new neighbour is without.
I just wonder why the (B) dept can get it right.
As such,i call up the bank and was told to do a update again. This time round,i enlarge the J incase they miss it,and drop it the quick cheque deposit box as the branch already closed for the day.And this is my 3rd time updating.
1 week later, the bank called me up and inform me that they have yet received the form,i reply to them that i drop it at the quick deposit box at the branch.
On 17th jan 2005,i received a Notice from Spore land Authority to my revious address although i had update my new address at Central Police Station on Dec 2004,stated that a Caveat was filed against me on my previous property. It say that OCBC is claiming as Mortgagee, which i do not have any Home Loan from the Bank.Which i not allow to sell my flat.
As such,i called up the bank on this notice as i was afraid that any legal proceeding.
A week later, the staff from OCBC call and mentioned that they still do not know why the Bnak filed this Caveat against me.Funny right.
How can a Bank make so many mistake.
Wonder if anyone can advise me on the Caveat,as i really cannot sleep because of this.
thks
Many people don't realise that the correct way of informing OCBC is to go directly to OCBC centres,
NOT through conveniently throwing things in some boxes.
Obviously, the dept which receives your info/updates simply just dump your paper into the bin.

There is some... office politics going on currently, so bewarned, anyone doing the same thing as yourself is tikaming 'send like no send'. Sometimes back, most
NOT all of these papers are diligently passed to respect depts, but that's because the admin were kind enough, not because it's their duty. How I know? Not important. Once the kind/good people all gone, of course all other papers other than cheques, or application of credit a/c, will have to tikam heavily.
Besides, all I can say is there is currently some other projects going on that relates to various depts processing details.
One obvious reason why I, and some others, left is because of office politics.

Don't be so stressed up, but imagine those doing in the backgrounds fighting the office-political wars (wasting precious time, energy and happiness)... they are even more stressed up than yourself. Any organisation is roughly the same, we either have good people to run and stablise the show, or we have wars running. There's little sense in hoping competition to oust out the weak, because which good people don't wanna do their jobs but got involved in office politics...

Just as a (resigned) old colleague commented when we met last month, '...something big is going to happen...'.
Go quickly to any OCBC centre and properly do your updates, and email a letter to the customer service stating the issue to cover yourself. Don't be a sacrifice of others' error.
