actually we are alredi experiencing slower growth, 3% to 4%, while it used to be two digit growth two decades ago
i am not sure about lower population ,since sg is moving from industrialisation to capital intensive industries...
but we may not have enough people to support the intellectual growth we need, ie, sufficient people to work in bio medical industries
some of these industries support the economy, and in this case, i seriously dont support lower growth, as it means we are less competitive..
sg is basically too small, we have to work hard to keep up or to remain ahead, if ever we shall say, lets take a break, we are in for trouble...
if ever we shall see singapore being less attractive to work in by foreign workers, we have rely back on our population to do the jobs we used to dislike, ie, contruction works
