  hi i've gotta this essay and i need some ideas from all the good people here.
  
  pls feel free to list down the things/policies abt the gov that u are not so satisfied with.
  
  or what policies or programmes would you like to see being put in place

  1. Sports policy
  
  2. GLC policy
  
  3. FT policy
  
  4. Public transport fees
  
  5. Nepotism in the govt, legalised corruption, high wages given to civil servants, ministers and the Prime Minister himself. Not to mention the unneccessary positions created for nothing- Mentor Minister perhaps?

  Yea, of course there's much to dislike abt the Spore government.
  
  - Well known for giving the "Asian Values" excuse and selectively citing "Confucianism" to support its paternalistic style of governance.
  
  - Education policies tend to restrict creative development in individuals.
  
  - Dominant political party who refuses to give equal rights to opposition parties.
  
  - Where's the free press?
  
  - Can we criticize the government? Can we protest against something because we dislike it?
  
  - Individuals work for the good of society. Singaporeans basically have to smile and take all the crap that the government imposes and not make a sound.

  Just felt the government has made most or all singaporean so timid of expressing one self..
  
  There seems to be no freedom of speech. We are all so afraid of speaking out our thoughts to our "leaders" we have selected. So shameful...
  
  Afraid of getting ourseleves in troubles like "Mr Tang L.H", "Siah T.P", "Indian Lawyer".
  
  Am not fanning opposition ... but just feel so discourage by our "leaders"...
  
  Final words Singapore is like Monarchy...
  
  Ah Gong passed to Son, son passed to grandson, All control important posts and power..

  Ok, Ok we all make mistakes.
  
  Now its time for me to undo that mistake come this General Elections.
  
  My vote will this time definitely go to the opposition - no matter who he is!

  everyone is saying this i guess since a few elections ago... but ... still the same old people winning it all again and last election even worse still , only 2 opposition left ... everyone wanna divert to the other side but it's always the men in white winning it all ... unless they cheat ?!

  coz most of the places dun even have to vote what... like mi.. i never have the chance to vote even till now... GRC is so stupid... like a truth ah beng singaporean will say.. knn not happy come 1 to 1 lah..

  aiyo i'm almost 30 liaoz yet only have chance to vote once! come to think of it, the way it is going on now, that one vote will perhaps be my only vote in my lifetime.
  
  why doesn't the opposition file candidates in my GRC in the next election?? my GRC doesn't need upgrading for the next ten years...

  The funniest thing is that even with all the shenanigans,PAP only got 75% of the vote.

  smlj oso muz tax
  road tax, gst, income tax, cig tax, alcohol tax
  tax nvm, tax oso knn tax so high...
  
  parliment pple oso kay siao...say wat traffic police use speed trap to improve road condition...behind the scene is to make more money..
  
  now we know where the minister's pay come from
