The word capital and reserve are the words used in the financial report. Talk so much and yet can't even bother to read the report yourself.

Well my best advice for you is to migrate to Malaysia. At least housing and many other services are affordable there. I think SIngaporeans must be damn rich!! dear fellow singaporean, whatever surplus HDB has had was not there anymore ever since they privatize. before and after privatization nothing on surplus was made know to the people of singapore at all. maybe mr. qitai was told but sure not me. and if hdb did lost, how did they manage to go private. -

Well, I think the worrying trend for most people is that the initial payout for the flats is increasing. I think if I am not wrong, by 2008, you will have to fork out 20% of the HDB price as initial payment. No difference from private properties.
