Indonesians attack Singapore Embassy

From Channelnewsasia : The Singapore Embassy in Jakarta was attacked by a group of demonstrators on Tuesday morning.
Accusing Singapore of dumping toxic waste in Batam, the demonstrators turned violent, damaging the main gate of the embassy and defacing it with graffiti.
The demonstrators then handed out newspaper clippings of Indonesia's allegations to the Indonesian media were tipped off to the planned protest.
Eyewitnesses say there were no Indonesian police in the street near the embassy to stop the demonstration.
A Singapore's Foreign Ministry spokesman says the Republic is "surprised" and "disappointed" by the attack on the embassy.
An official protest has been lodged with the Indonesian government.

its a singapore company...not singapore as a whole...best way to do abt with this issue is to bring the company involved with the dumping into court....

I think we should put pictures of singaporeans helping out indonesians to make them feel guilty.
Sometimes i wonder whether those people who protests in front of the embassy are truly religious people. -

Last time 1998 , more then 5,000 chinese murdered , i was quite ignorant that time , i told myself , forgive them..
Last time , when indonesian maids accidentally fell off the HDB building by themselves and caused a "uproar" at the Embassy , i told myself forgive them..
On 26th December 2004 , i even prayed for them to have fast healing and less casualties , i even donated a portion of my salary and living expenses
and even did volunteer work to help them
This is the last straw , i actually wish that the tsunami didn't occur at all ,
now im having 2nd thoughts about it.. -

put it this way...if it was an indon company that dumped waste near sg....we wont be rioting at their embassy for sure(maybe cos we got better things to do and probably the fact that the Police would be quick to deal with these kinda things...so kinda pointless).....there are better alternatives than throwing up signs here and there...its ok to be nationalistic....but dont be an ass and waste ure time doing riots here and there arh....theres better ways to deal with disputes such as these...
so....to summarise...onli ppl who got nothing else better to do and never think of alternatives to settle such disputes are mostly involved in these kinda riots....
anywaes...its not like rioting helps....its not as if the government is not doing anything to settle this problem.... -
