NS: the cause of a lot of breakups and heartaches

many breakups seem to happen when guys go NS. it is almost certain that if you are going NS, you've got to gird yourself for a breakup. i've always heard my guy friends say things like "i scared she'll leave me when i go NS." it's kinda sad this is happening.
what do you guys have to say about this? -

If it falters just because the other party is not there, then it is not worth it to go into that relationship anyway. If you really love someone, you will find a way to make the r/s lasts
When there is a will, there is a way. And absence makes the heart grows fonder anyway

it's not as though u are going to stay in camp for the rest of your 2 years. u get to book out on weekends what. somemore now SAF very good already, can use handphone every night. what more do u want?
i believe it is this feeling of not be able to see your loved ones making u miss them that will make u treasure the relationship more. people tend to take eachother for granted when u they see eachother everyday. -

If anything, the guy needs all the emotional support he can get from the people he cares and loves while in NS... and that includes his girlfriend. This is all the more important in the first three weeks of confinement.
I've had some of my friends saying that their girlfriends didn't seem to understand that their guys would no longer have the time to spend with them as they did before NS. I say those girls really have no sense of understanding and empathy for what their guys are going through. Somehow they get the idea that NS is something like OBS - tiring but fun. Crap.
And don't give me this crap about how girls can have the licence to be loose while their boyfriends are away at NS. I say dump those loose women - that's what they are. Those guys deserve far better than that. -

NS wasn't the cause breakdowns in my past relationships..
it was more like.. i realised what morons they were. -
