It's been a verbal war obviously but a physical, literate war between Japan and an Asian nation is out of the cards.

If one is to care the Japanese actions in claiming islands in the China Sea, one will see more evidence of more deliberate attempt to use the war heros as rallying point to revive their past military aggressions.
This aggressive minds among their leaders are unspoken. Minds have now sharp and focused to manipulate their population in the Koitsumi era to shed their post war restraints. It is the unspoken minds of their leaders now that one can find all the future aggression and imperialism. -
the japanese started the wars because of greed, they want take over the world. Yet greed is also their downfall, their troubles started when they tried to take over mid islands controlled by USA. When they are defeated, the 1st law they made in their constitution was "War is not desirable" ...and since then, they believe strongly against war. They have reformed to a certain extent, why not give them a chance?

by telling the world how incredible China can be.
This is not good.
What will happen to their fellow Chinese overseas?
Yes... they show their vigor...
But have they thought of China? Or have they been blind by the emotions and growth still ridden with so much trouble...?
What have they offered?
A good reason for Japan to militarise.
A good reason for the world to be wary of China.
A good reason China cannot get arms.
A good reason Taiwan must never be taken over.
A good reason US and allies must intercept.
A good reason China is still threatening.
A good reason to shake Asia.
Why...? Is it very wise for all these...? I don't think so.
People shouldn't be so excited about this.
If China wants Taiwan badly, and Japan ends up militarised, Europe and the world gang up, Asia will stressed up. Can Singapore stays out?

USA will be holding a damned economic embargo...and the military ships of the USA in the middle east will surely try to attack the oil pipeline linking towards China..
They will also try to block off china's trade...of which a significant percentage pass through the Malacca Straits , which again brings Singapore to the situation..
As the top military power of SEA, as a economic superpower in it's own-size,
and as a chinese majority, it would certainly be interesting..to watch the outcome.
China will have no fears of the attacks coming from it's backdoor..as it is landlocked at the back..
All i can tell you is that, it's going to be 1 hell of a blast....1.3 billion pple vs
a combined military joint force...USA might not stay as a super-power for very much longer...
When USA declines..and China takes over Number 1...

Will USA be holding a total economic embargo? not sure, 65% of what is sold in K-Mart is made in China, ...... China has taken all the manufacturing jobs for goods bound for USA, how inter-dependent they are is probably an academic question.
that is why china is now making friends with India, and if India and Pakistan (China's traditional friend)also make friends, then China's backdoor is safe. In any case, India and Pakistan will not go to war with China for USA, democracy or not.
China will have no fears of the attacks coming from it's backdoor..as it is landlocked at the back..
And if china turns around and supports the extremists in Afganistan and the area, America will have another problem in hand.

The super-power on the right of Japan already station soldiers on Japan soil, but it is used to "balance" the power of the communists, including north Korea, and China. Japanese forces will be glad to relieve these US forces in this balancing act, to allow the US to handle Iran.
A bombs may not come again, but earthquake and (potentially) vulcano will continue to destroy japan, japan do need a safe place to stay.....story and history may be whitewashed but facts cannot be changed.
Germany was totally devastated in WW1, and with the Paris Treaty preventing them from building armed forces, nobody then could believe that Germany could start another war, but what happened....

China needs to control the ultra nationalist sentiment and educate their people in self discipline and control (may be that's why they need a communist boss) and if they can demonstrate like the Hong Kongers, 500,000 can demonstrate without the need of riot police, then there will be no side effect to their just cause for the protest.
Japan needs to recognise that their grandfathers indeed went to their neighbours house and raped the wife and daughters and killed their fathers and sons, and if japanese leaders stop visiting the yasukuni shrine to pay respect to the war criminals as if they were war heros, then your neighbours will respect you like the Germans neighbours respect the German. Why do this if you have no intention of doing again? for business, for politics, for national pride?? For no matter how you change the history, your grand fathers who were responsible will still be in hell, just make sure that their grand children do not follow them. -

it doesnt bother me though i ever done a project about WW2 before and went to Japan often for work. these generation of japanese will never repeat the past history, they enjoy their life and peace and mostly know nothing about military or against govt spending billion on military budget.
those who against it are simply living in the shadow of history who doesnt know the current generation of Japanese well. -
I don't think that the protests against the Japanese are against them [I]per se[/I], but a cry for the Japanese to acknogledge their wartime misdeeds, and apologise.
Honestly, I find it a totally logical extension towards the acceptance of the Japanese in the international community. When you are in the wrong, apologise, and we will get past it, and come out with a stronger relationship.
Instead, the hardcore nationalists there insist on obscuring the past (either they did that on purpose, or it is a result of their own delusions of Japan being a World War II victim
). Reading their history text books on Japan's role in World War II leaves me shaking my head. In fact, some of the untruths made my blood boil.
However, the past is past, we need to move on. Once Japan acknowledges its atrocities, we should seek to accept and forgive.
If Japan doesn't, then I am afraid we might be seeing even worse things than what is happening now, so worked up China and Korea are. -
