Rather not, man....they will cut our pay by 20%. How to pay mortgage?
Good question...
IMHO
In Europe (esp the Nordic countries) some are /have implemented the 4 days work week. The main jist of it is to have a more balance work/leisure lifestyle.
This is a different aim from the reason y Philipines r implementing it. Due to their deficit, they have to reduce the govt spending and therefore come up with this idea (not really good, but that is another discussion).
Overall, SGP is heading that way... however, will it be done in the next 5 yrs? Unlikely at all. Y? The kaisu nature of SGPrean. No one would want to noe that they are resting... becos it equate to slacking.
So in the meantime, the govt is atvocating work/leisure balance whereas the workers are trying hard to cover for loss time ( personal overtime, work at home).
Conclusion: Unless the work culture is change (from an efficient and no nonsense work place to one which emphase work and leisure balance ... a semi welfare state), it is unlikey that i can be implemented.
