The sad joke is the govt alway say they create job but these jobs are taken up by foreigner as they say Singaporean don't want the job, then why the hell keep creating job not meant for Singaporean ??Originally posted by kaka_22:Hmm most of them i think.....i feel that the govt should make singaporeans the top piority when wanting to offer jobs instead of malaysians or chinamen...![]()
If you Harrah's or Sun's Big Boss setting up the casino here would you engage local novices to man the tables and deal the cards? Or would you prefer enticing experienced dealers from Genting to do the job (and most probably at 1/2 or 3/4 the cost of employing a local to do so)? I guess the answer is obvious isn't it?Originally posted by ORIGAMIST:Wonder how many of these job goes to the foreigner ??

Why you want to know?Originally posted by ORIGAMIST:Wonder how many of these job goes to the foreigner ??
yo... y r u repeating this same post in so many threads?Originally posted by robertteh:The 20 problems of autocracy as posted in another thread sadly were precisely caused by the constant propanganda and brainwashing that we have great leaders and they know how to make decisions. Let them decide everything.
What happen? When problems come all the leaders do will be to make denials and justifications that they have consulted the public of the matter or the younger leaders were the ones who made the casino decisions. This is in answer to the thinking that leaders will admit mistakes and take responsibility for any future erosions of work ethics or losses of economic competitiveness.
The most serious of these 20 problems - high costs of living and loss of economic competitiveness due to over-promoting meritocracy to the neglect of broad-based education were caused by such thinking that leaders are leaders and they should lead by making decisions on their own. It is sad that the population can be brainwashed into unquestioned belief that the leaders know best and how to be fair.
Incidentally, the Americans went crazy with electing their latest idols and came out strongly to participate in such event because you know what - judges like Simon Cowe are not too much in a hurry to decide but only lead the americans into voting and deciding who they want. What is wrong with such a government - lead from behind like the shepherd tending to the sheeps.
This then is only my view. No one should feel hurt about what I say.
There was a broad hint as stated in parliament debates on casino today that we are lacking the skilled and higher-level managerial personnel in running the casino. So I have to agree that the plump jobs will go to foreigners.Originally posted by mannovo:U can bet on it tat these jobs will be for foreigners...we do not hve any groupiers, card dealers n it will be reserved for foreigners...of course, these casino owners will want their own pple..tey r here to make profits...wat is left probably is the waiters, bouncer n professional service provider for bodily needs...hee..hee..
