Loansharks tend to have underground connections lor, dun think anyone will want to put himself or his family at risk by antagonizing the loansharks like that.. usually the people who report loansharks to the police are those who have been "wronged" -> innocents whose addresses have been given to the loansharks by unscrupulous loanshark money-borrowers.Originally posted by SilverPal:Just wondering:
is it possible for a person borrow money from loansharks and then report the loanshark to the police, thereby keeping the money without having to return?
I suspect that the govt isn't clamping down on prostitution in Singapore for a good reason => w/o prostitution, the number of rape/outrage of modesty cases will probably get out of hand as desperate men will no longer have an outlet to vent their energy. Women will no longer be safe on the streets.Originally posted by ^MaRcUs^:well...
Prosituition is illegal in singapore...
but...u can find the "chicks" everywhere...
geylang to joo chiat to massage parlour..
even neighbourhood kopitiam...
so...even if loan shark is illegal,
do u really think the gov really wanna stop them?
and a note...
many of those running brothels...nightclubs..
bookies and etc.. are PML or BBM..
or active RC, CCC or Grassroots members...
perhaps just coincedence??
