The IRAS website is for show one only ..... don't seem to be able to access it ... How can Singapore claims to be a truely IT savvy when the government website always got problem ??

Done so. No problems with the site. I think it is due to all the people who leave it till the last min that have problems accessing the site as it is jammed up.

I tried using it since 02 April... At first tot it is April fool because cannot access... then realised April fool over, then I know I bloody fool got problem going in.. I use their website to submit my claims 3 weeks ago, no problems what.... i think its all the last minute people congesting up the website lor...u cant blame IRAS except for people who submit last minute...as if submit later got discount haha

The IRAS website is up to date and operational. Perhaps people how face problems accessing it should bring their computers up to scratch.
You need to download and install the Java Applet plugin in order for you to login.
There is also a link to Java downloads at the IRAS website.
Install it, and there'll be no problems. -
I tried so many times today, the redirect message came and gone and I am stucked at the main log-in page. I just tried again and presto, it was successful... the whole process is simple.. it's the loging-in part that was difficult... This year, they force a lot of people to efile. So, there is congestion if you try to file during peak hours (i.e. when a lot of people maybe filing). Best to file when it is off-peak (like when you just get into office early in the morning or after mid-night).
Last year, it was a lot better since the number of people who efile is a lot less. -
There is a Taiwanese hacker hacked into their many government and statutory boards websites. That Taiwanese plant an April fool joke on their government website declaring April 1st to be a public holiday. The same person accessed to their education ministry website and retrieved examination results of a daughter of a Minister.
Hope our IRAS are really secured, else it could be a disaster if vital income information are leaked.
I had no problem in submiting via e-file, infact I just have to click the submit button (the income already auto filled). But very goondu, they didn't consider what happen if the user (i am one of them) has no printer????
