the fact is we are living and building this tiny little island of 692.7 km².
other than people , we have nothing, remember ,totally nothing. we have no tree to sell, not enough water supply , no gold mine, no oil to mine..etc
if anyone who think singapore already doing well enough, i will laugh at that person. a little bit glory of 40< years worth a SHIT to a country , maybe it 40 years of glory is a big deal for a person self success,but not for country.
dont forget we still have water supply problem(althought we working to it now). but the water you using now still under the unreasonable cheap price from malaysia.
dont think 70%> of chinese in singapore mean the so call mighty China will give a bowl of rice to you when singapore fell. we are not hongkong have a big hill to back!
dont think the great USA will consider you as one of the state after you spend all the 90>billion in the world bank.
which govt want casino to take the risk of create social problem and losing vote if we really have nothing to worry about?
i keep asking myself , what are the best outcome of singapore after 40years if we still in 1965? i asked my grandparent and they say , singapore now is more than what they expect 40years ago. -
