I am curious, what trouble can really happen to government workers who voted for opposiitions?
Does anyone know of a single case where it happened? Don't you think this sort of matter, if exposed by a witness, will became a big international issue if it is leaked to the international medias?
In fact, I do know of disgruntled grassroot members and pragmatic civil servants who voted for oppositions for several GEs, and they have not been discovered and then victimised by PAP!
So you see, PAP psychologists have discovered the achilles heels of Singapore voters (esp civil servants) - kiasi (scared to die) !

Many silly civil servants have conjured this absurd scenarios in case they vote for the opposition -
......MPs and ministers and voting officials will, after the election, open the SEALED vault in which were kept the SEALED ballot boxes...
they will then sit around a table and look at hundreds of thousands of ballot papers to see if any civil servant didnt vote for them.....
and presumably it would need at least 100 workers to help go through the slips....
Dont you think its plain stupid to think PAP would go to that extent to catch non-PAP voters? They dont and they wont! There are too many witnesses!

with my wife,2 kids in ACS[I] den booking a place for them in Monash Uni,my 2 maids to take care of those kids from hel. my bunglow in 6th Ave must play installments,my new BMW 7 series and old Mercs SLK also must upkeep. must go visit my "good female friend" in Aussy once every 2 weeks.

Ironically, some sensible civil servants who did not vote for PAP are still holding their jobs -
I have heard tales about SAF regulars being demoted or removed form their appointments because they voted for the opposition in the GE. Can anyone verify such cases?

It's this sort of rumours that helped fueled Singaporeans concern about being black listed.
And PAP is delighted at this kind of wild imagination.
I have no answer to this kopi tiam speculation, but what I do know is nobody can tell me how PAP managed to find out which army officer didnt vote for PAP?
Remember, the ballot boxes are sealed and kept in a sealed vault. They can only be opened in the presence of all opposition parties.
The ballot papers are burned after 6 months from GE.

Do you know what that means?
It means no one can open the boxes or vault without first breaking the seal.
Opposition members are entitled to inspect these seals anytime during the 6 months.
And when the ballot papers are finally taken out for burning, opposition members will be present to witness the opening of the ballot boxes.
Cant understand how anyone can conjure a different version of the sealed ballot boxes!

Now will have evening ERP at CTE (Towards Johor direction)
Entering Orchard on Sat also need to pay ERP... If have paid ERP at say Chinatown, still need to pay again for entering Orchard

this forum is getting lame. I can only see useless criticsms. And for once I trully know why these forumnites keep talking bout fear. It's beacuse they are fearful! If trully anyone were to want to make themselves be heard there are avenues to do so: Speakers Corner and even to the point of contesting in GE.
If u fear being reprised by your fellow men, the I say do not worry. If what u say is trully logical and going by the number of formnites, u'll be well supported at these rallies!
