I don't even give a single cents to NKF. So you want me to donate sperm ? I got plently leh ! Spent lah ! Don't worry about the future ! 10 years later your salary sure very high one ! $5000 per month.Originally posted by CyanSupra:why dun u donate all ur money to me...
then see 10yrs after u can earn back 10 times anot?
Day dream... You have think too much... If the fares allowed an increase of 3 cents a year, it is 10 years to 2015, the most it will cost $1.83Originally posted by skyline63:Don't worry people ! The cost of transport will go higher and higher. Now... already cost $2.50 and above just to take a feeder bus to MRT. Then cityhall. So......... $10 dollars in 10 years is nothing !
Singaporean all earning $3000 per month even for the supermarket storeman got $3000 dollars basic salary per month ! That is the future of Singapore. Everyone is rich ! Dama rich !
One bowl of mee cost $50 dollars ! One T-shirt cost $300 dollars. Toliet entry $5 dollars per entry. One egg cost $1 dollars. How good that will be !
Singapore dollars like Japanese banana money in the future. Inflation !
But in another word it say. Our Singapore dollars is devalue already.
Don't need to save money anymore. Just spend, anyway..... Money is losing it value. Buy more things ! And Keep better right ?
I think it's fair to say the cost of a $30 noodle bowl will eventually measure up to the cost of one now. Inflation breeds inflation. Ultimately, salaries will likewise go up at roughly the same pace as cost of living.Originally posted by ShutterBug:Personally, I think what Skyline63 pointed is quite likely to become, of the Singapore dollar, and cost of living here.
If, costs of things in general just only go up, then we can be sure that one day, we'd be paying $30 for a bowl of noodles, and a pack of ciggarettes may require a bank loan to purchase.
It's always the same old crap; first SMRT will start with the fare increase, and then everything else follows - Taxi, Buses, etc.
How in heck, can people then take up lower paying job and be less choosy in job selection? And for that matter, what jobs are there? Big question is; who will employ these huge group of people who will turn 35-40 in 10 years time?
It's sheer thoughtlessness to keep on increasing costs, when unemployment rates are still rising. WTF, It's downright merciless.
Well, as usual, detest as we might, we eventually end up gritting our teeth and take it as it comes.
What's new??
r u sure!Originally posted by BillyBong:I think it's fair to say the cost of a $30 noodle bowl will eventually measure up to the cost of one now. Inflation breeds inflation. Ultimately, salaries will likewise go up at roughly the same pace as cost of living.
is tvmobile considered operation cost?Originally posted by zorro82:They said the reason for the increase in fares is due to high operational cost. The End.
Do they think we are stupid to believe just this reason? In what sense is the
high operational cost? Cost of fuel? Workers wages? Maintenance? Be more
specific leh....
Most of us are educated. They should tell us the details of the reasons on
fares increase, i hope their reasons would be more open and transparent to
the Singaporean. Whatsmore, they have been earning profits every year
which is due to most of us still rely on public transport. They shouldn't worry
that they would make a loss as so many of us still uses the buses and the
mrts. Pls be fair to the whole of Singapore, dun just think of making profits
15 years ago, a bowl of wan ton mee cost $1.20 - $1.50. Price restructuring already created the price hike to the current standing now. Back then some also considered 1.50 to be ex as they considered their pay not at a level equivalent to the cost of living.Originally posted by trueno86:r u sure!
