I can't even explain his math to him .... lame sia ..Originally posted by Meilin86:when i seen into my cousin primary school maths, it seem to me like is from secondary one. Challenging question! As for seconary school, they have to study social studies compulsary with other humanities such as history or geography. Social studies is very tough leh.
Yah, i agree. we have to be no. 1 but how? not everybody can be number one leh.Originally posted by ORIGAMIST:Can't blame them since Singapore is such a small country, we have to be first in everything, even at the expense of the people. This is the very reason I never push my children to study hard. As long as they pass, it's ok for me but then hor, my daughter is coping ok, my son never pass... life is so difficult .... sian sia ...![]()

primary 1? i thought some already started at nursery.Originally posted by av98m:No doubt about it, we are on a downward spiral. In Singapore, the rat race now starts from primary 1, and not your first full time job.![]()
I think that applies to the richer parents who send their kids to those expensive playschools/playgroups.Originally posted by dragg:primary 1? i thought some already started at nursery.
Ya, I saw an advert " tutuion for nursery "....Originally posted by dragg:primary 1? i thought some already started at nursery.
I vote for the opposition and refuse to have kids in the meantime. That is all I can do presently.Originally posted by the Bear:so.. big question here...
are you all going to go "this is terrible.. this is horrible.."
and do nothing later in life and put your children in the pressure cooker...
or..
are you all going to make a change and allow your children an actual happy childhood?

I think LTK will make a better education minister than any of the PAP fat asses. If I'm not wrong, he was a teacher himself, but left MoE because he couldn't agree with some of their policies.Originally posted by the Bear:and what makes you think the opposition have an answer?
I supposed the opposition can do the opposite ....lolOriginally posted by the Bear:and what makes you think the opposition have an answer?
That's besides the point. I am voting to express my disapproval of the ruling party. The ruling party likes to brainwash and induce fear in singaporeans that the country will collapse and never recover if they are voted out of power. I choose to take my chances. Especially since the country is going down the toilet anyway. Not much opportunity cost involved.Originally posted by the Bear:and what makes you think the opposition have an answer?
talk is cheap.Originally posted by Meilin86:Yes, vote to the opposition!![]()
