Should Cedric Foo remain as a MP?

His recent resignation as a minister of state to join a private sector shows his lack of interest to serve the people. Therefore I think he should also resign as a MP.
What do you think? -

Actually I feel that we don't need so many MPs in such a small country, most of them are doing bugger-all anyway. Parliament needs to be downsized. To further save money, perhaps a lottery should be held to select about a third of the exisiting pool of MPs for voluntary resignation and suicide. And scrap the NMP scheme once and for all since they are not elected/appointed by the people and as such, should not even be there wasting money that can be used to help the needy.

Being a voter, we don't vote for a candidate for what he is (because we don't know him). But instead, we vote a candidate for what we Perceive he is.
In this incident, he had created a perception to many that he lacks interest in serving. If someone in the forum feels otherwise, do elaborate your viewpoints so as to re align this perception that was created. Ultimately, that is the whole purpose of a forum: exchanging viewpoints -
