Other kids compared to me(Not trying to gain empathy or sound pathetic here):
Kid: May you purchase a PS 2 for me? Dad:Okay, when do you want to did it OR You pay half of the price and i will pay the other half
If i would have asked Me: Dad can i have a PS2 Dad: Go to hell<---btw i am putting it as what he would have said indirectly
He would never get my any game consoles no matter how well i would have scored for my exams not even a small meal rewarded to me.
Kid: Daddy you blah blah this and that blah this blah that....I hate you daddy Dad: Sorry my sweet darling, i will try to make things better for you.
If it was me
Me: Dad, you are blah blah this and that.... Dad: If you are not happy with things around here, you can always get out of this house(This is true)
Kid: Dad, can i sign up for this -Something something something- course Dad: Sure darling, anything i would do to make you happy.
Me: Dad, can i sign up for this -.....- course Dad: No its too expensive, no way
Experiencing the rigours of my dad's harsh discipline i have indeed learn to cherish my things more and learn the value of money, when my mother gives me abit too much i would give her back at least 20% of the money back
commonsense
i grew up this way too, but that was in the 70s -80s when a lot of us were like that. i didn't enjoy it, but looking back, i'm glad i survive it.
take it easy!
Qitai
I wouldn't even ask knowing only too well my family cannot afford it.
Patrik
I would still prefer to grow up enduring hardship and not being spoilt. More independent.
subsuxor
thats why i am glad i am more indepedant than some kids
RETARDED_MORON
My dad is reasonable and modest. Good for me.
Me: I think I need a new camera. Dad: Let us wait till the end of the year, there are offers and better deals. Me: Sure thing.
