ITE shimei-too grand?

They have a rock wall & sports stadium with full running track- all under utilised cos I don't see anyone using it whenever I drove past

Our track was exmtremely old and was just recently replaced.Our sports stadium is crap compared to what the ITE has.Anyway we "rent" it out to other schools to use it for they're sports day and stuff as well as our IVP sports.
Sports facilities aside, our facilites are rather dated with manual flush toliets, insufficient lifts even though most of our buildings go up to 7 stories,lifts that are poorly located, water coolers that dont work.And infact many of our workshops are being closed because we no longer have the money to keep them open.Which kind of sucks because the theory we learn cannot be put to practise.
Yes i believe ITE simei is too grand.They should have done something like ITE Dover -
the students there dont even know how to take care of the school. outside look very grand. inside full of graffitti. whats the point. moe waste money lar

As usual, MOE spends more money on building grandeur rather than focusing on the basics. I concur. No point quibbling over whether or not ITE students should have such beautiful campuses or not - like I said earlier, one of the reasons why the Simei ITE campus is so magnificent is because the government wants to upgrade the image of ITEs in general, and do away with the "ITE-students-are-stupid" stigma that is attached to ITEs. Anyway, haven't ITEs been renamed already? They're called 'colleges' or something like that now, right? so what if they have a grand sch? great exterior but bad interior.
is ITE going to be renamed? i'm not very sure about that. but to renamed with the word college is too big a word for them. now the gov is trying to turn a low-class tertiary institution to a high-class one. obviously, it irks students from the jcs and polys. for those of u who didnt realise, the titles of the streams in sec sch are rotated in the atempt of the gov trying to remove the stigma of the normal stream students.
normal -> express -> special -> normal
as you guys know, in the express streams, it is the majority. so why is it called express but not normal while their learning process is normal, not express.
as for the special stream, they are the cream of the crops, compared to special, express sounds better as the fact is they brighter and thus learn at a express rate.
finally, the normal stream, the fact is they learn at a slower process and they are not the majority. so how can they be called normal? special is more appropriate. -
to be no matter how good you are at memorising textbooks..if you can't make tons of money you're still stupid
it does not take brains, just an elephant's memory to do well here but it takes a hell lotta brainwork to make tons of money..especially in singapore
