Not sure which poly you drive by buit the rockwall at SP is heavily utilised and infact the expended the rockwall gym because of that.Originally posted by gerrykoh:They have a rock wall & sports stadium with full running track- all under utilised cos I don't see anyone using it whenever I drove past
As usual, MOE spends more money on building grandeur rather than focusing on the basics. And again they use taxpayers money to build that.Originally posted by Dr Who:This ITE got swimming pool, but mirrors in the toilets were never replaced because the students keep vandalising it.......cows in a glass shop.....not worth supporting cows to live in a grand palace of a school..
SP so cham ah? Which school is that?Originally posted by |-|05|:Not sure which poly you drive by buit the rockwall at SP is heavily utilised and infact the expended the rockwall gym because of that.
Our track was exmtremely old and was just recently replaced. Our sports stadium is crap compared to what the ITE has.Anyway we "rent" it out to other schools to use it for they're sports day and stuff as well as our IVP sports.
Sports facilities aside, our facilites are rather dated with manual flush toliets, insufficient lifts even though most of our buildings go up to 7 stories, lifts that are poorly located, water coolers that dont work. And infact many of our workshops are being closed because we no longer have the money to keep them open.Which kind of sucks because the theory we learn cannot be put to practise.
Yes i believe ITE simei is too grand. They should have done something like ITE Dover
I concur. No point quibbling over whether or not ITE students should have such beautiful campuses or not - like I said earlier, one of the reasons why the Simei ITE campus is so magnificent is because the government wants to upgrade the image of ITEs in general, and do away with the "ITE-students-are-stupid" stigma that is attached to ITEs. Anyway, haven't ITEs been renamed already? They're called 'colleges' or something like that now, right? And thus my point - obviously, a college sounds better than a mere 'technical institution'.Originally posted by hotxyz2002:MOE have invested a lot of money to provide a condusive learning environment for ITE students. Let's hope that the students appreciate it and now learn to utilise them appropriately.

The main thing, however, is whether ITE students realize the significance of the government investing more in education facilities for them these days. If not, the government's efforts are lost on them.
