BTW a tip off saw me down at Changi to watch the French AF contingent arrive for AA2002. A Mirage 2000, CF-135FR and a Rafale. At least someone is interested enough to send a flying aircraft and not some plywood model.

Any chance you will come to WA? Perhaps you can visit Pearce, at least from the perimeter fence you can watch the aircraft take off and land. The end of the runway is just beside the major highway.
I agree with you in terms of marketing strategy between Dassult and the Euro consortiums. I think Dassult may get a few orders if they persist. I can see India, Taiwan (long shot) and Singapore taking a few Rafales. Eygpt is also a probable. Essentially all the current Mirage 2000 users are good potential Rafale buyers.

I sill think that RokAF will succumb to the US pressure and purchase F-15K. If true, what a pity....
