IMO chiam see tong should be PM..unlike somebody who lived off the power of his dad and other chao muggers in the government who spend so much taxpayers' money on white elephants rather than improving our lives without knowing how to generate more money, chiam has time and time again manouvred himself out of traps and dead ends put forth by the PAP. even under his very very meagre and limited budget he still provided upgrades for the residents in his constituency.

Sinagpore well being is strongly correlated to the external environment. Just like many bros had pointed out in the forum, our nation is very sensitive to external factors.
Thus, what is the path that will unfold ahead of us 5-10 years ahead would be really dependent on
1) no China Vs Taiwan/US/Jap
2) no Islamic armed struggle in South Thailand / Malaysia
3) no terror strike in SE Asia / Straits of Malacca / Singapore / Malaysia
4) no radical religious leaders rise to power in SE Asia
5) no high oil price (>US$60 per barrel) for next immediate 2-3 years
7) no major china banking sector scandals nor recession
singaporean leadership willingness and capability to transforming our local singapore social-economy model
Too many uncertainity, even Deep Blue + the entire A*star + Tesmasek investment team cannot give you a crystal clear pic man!
