And it is not that the PAP will be replaced by something more inferior. Another political party (not necessarily Workers' Party) would have gradually gained strength with the people's votes to replace the PAP in some constituencies.
If 20 years ago the PAP's monopoly had already been broken, probably today, who knows some good PAP MPs like Dr Tan CB, Mr Sin BA, Mr Teo HP and Mr Leong HK would be in another party. Other non-PAP political watchers like Dr Kwok KW, Dr Tommy Koh and Prof Chua BH could also be non-PAP MPs of the party as well.
And if it was Workers' Party, Mr Low TK may or may not be SG of the Party and knowing him, he would be happy in whatever position within a good, strong team.

Very good projection of future political reshuffling of political talents among ruling and opposition parties.
People with potential are many whether on ruling party side or oppositions.
Now they cannot do anything because of heavy top-down controls of all policies and decisions in running the country which from the 1980s have failed to produce results.
The only way forward is to maximize our limited pools of talented potential leaders capable of thinking out of the box to effect the necessary changes. I am happy even LowTK is selfless and is prepared to make way for potential leaders to come forward to realise the projected reshuffling. MPs and civil leaders should be approached to take part in such projected reshuffling. I foresee that when such a plan is forwarded people will come forward to serve.
Without initiating major changes to all the past policies designed to entrench the past leaders, nothing can be done to help solve the diverse problems faced by the many unemployed and suffering majority.
